Carlyle Fiorina has emerged as the Anti- Joan of Arc
She carries a banner meant to rally the Right Wing troops, for the Battle of the Budget
Carlyle waves a banner covered in the grotesque goo of lies, deception, manipulation.
Will this banner be seen by clear eyes, as a banner in tatters ?
Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, clashed with House Republicans on Tuesday as she defended her organization’s ethics and the legality of its work during an emotional hearing on Capitol Hill over its use of federal funds.
Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, insisted the organization has not broken the law, an accusation it faced after embarrassing undercover video surfaced this summer that showed executives nonchalantly discussing fetal tissue donations. She fought back against allegations that Planned Parenthood profits from such donations and espoused its efforts to provide healthcare for women.
“Planned Parenthood has been in the news recently because of deceptively edited videos released by a group that is dedicated to making abortion illegal in this country,” said Richards. “This is just the most recent in a long line of discredited attacks.”
Conservative Republicans have criticized the family planning nonprofit after the videos, produced by Center for Medical Progress, an Irvine-based anti-abortion group, were released this summer. Some in Congress have advocated shutting down the federal government if more funds are allocated to Planned Parenthood for abortion. The organization receives federal funds for abortions only in cases where a woman’s life is endangered or she was impregnated as a result of rape or incest.
Planned Parenthood also uses federal funds to provide birth control, cancer screenings and testing of sexually transmitted infections, Richards said. She said just 1% of health centers in Planned Parenthood’s network facilitate donations for fetal tissue research.

David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress has the gall to accuse Planned Parenthood of deceit.

“Mr. Daleiden’s goals for the past three years was to entrap Planned Parenthood into selling fetal tissue for profit,” said Cummings. Daleiden was not invited to testify by Chaffetz, who said he has subpoenaed for access to the full, unedited videos but that litigation in California is preventing their release.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) hoisted his banner
"...he put up a chart showing the rate of abortions increasing at the clinics while the number of "life-saving procedures" performed decreased."
"Nobody seemed to know where the chart came from."
"Cecile Richards said it was inaccurate.
"Cecile Richards's attorney finally leaned over and cleared it up."
Cecile Richards said-
"My lawyer's informing me the source is Americans United for Life, which is an anti-abortion group."
"So you might want to check your source."

Dem accuses GOP of 'misogyny' at hearing on Planned Parenthood
09/29/15
Rep Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) slammed House Republicans for their treatment of Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards during her first appearance on Capitol Hill Tuesday.
Connolly decried the “disrespect" and "misogyny" that he said Richards has faced from Republicans during a more than three-hour hearing. He berated his colleagues for being “rude” and wasting Richards’s speaking time.
The Virginia Democrat's remarks offered a brief respite from the heated exchanges between Richards and other GOP members of the committee.
Several members, including Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Cynthia Lummis (R-Wy.), spoke over Richards as she tried to respond to questions, preventing her from answering before her time elapsed.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) also sharply criticized Richards for her annual salary of more than $500,000.
Connolly accused of hypocrisy those who question Planned Parenthood’s motives.
“This is not about some bogus video,” Connolly said. “This is about a conservative philosophy that says … we believe in individualism and personal liberty. There’s an asterisk in that assertion … when it comes to women and controlling their own bodies and making their own health decisions.
