I actually voiced this to R this last week as we had to take a break in playing as one of my joints lock. I said I wonder what I will be able to do in 10 years ... and he said we will have to wait and see and work round it.

I agree - you are as old as you feel.
I don't believe there is ever a 'too old' for anything - it might just take a little longer to do what you wish to do ... but patience is a virtue - or so they say.

Great forum. My GF and I want to try BDSM. I'll visit her the 3rd wk of Dec. Got toys, but she is concerned about safety. It kind of dovetails in with this old geezer thread. I'm 50 and in good health and so is she, nevertheless, her question is. What do I do if I'm tied up and you suddenly need my help? Works the other way around too-she wants to tie me up too. The restraints I bought use a self tightening loop like a dog chain. If she lets up on it will it loosen enough for her to get free? Maybe I need to add a slip knot to where the cord connects to the bed leg near the floor?

Ideas for the senior set?

Start out very simply until you get accustomed to what you are doing. Add in toys etc, slowly. Figure out what is comfortable for both of you. Don't forget your safe words and use them if needed. Experiment with the restraint on one arm and see what happens and how to get free without using the other arm.
