Why are we suddendly fascinated by shaved pussies on women as of late??

I saw some of my dad's Playboys growing up and the beautiful women in there were shaggy as could be. And it hasn't been that long that alluva sudden, the women in porn (soft & hardcore) have resorted to landing strips or totally bare.
