Why is Cedric so damn entertaining ?

Maybe it's my age or maybe it's just my lack or Urban hipness but just why the hell is Cedric the Entertainer so entertaining ? My main exposure to his talents has been the very annoying BestBuy commercial with him acting all the fool in the Spiderman video game. I can recall back in college some of the really desperate people trying to be cool, why does he remind me so much of them ?

Cedric's a lot cooler in person. Actually a good guy. VERY entertaining.

I know he's from the city that I live in, I've dealt with him a few times, and we got along great.
