Why is Bin Laden still a threat?

The real story about this new Bin Laden video is that there is a video in the first place. Why is Saddam Hussein in jail while the guy who is responsible for 9/11 is running around making threatening videos? Seems like Bush really dropped the ball on this one.

Very good question.

this was addressed in other threads this morning, but I'll try and give you a Reader's digest version of the rightwing response:

1. Osama is alive because Kerry voted for partial birth abortions.
2. It's all the New York Times fault.
3. We don't have time to debate this. America needs a leader.

Please let me know if you need clarification on any of the above explanations.

Are Americans paying attention?

The rest of the world has to be laughing at America. Here is a president who has failed on virtually every front. And yet, the polls indicate this election will be close. Are Americans paying attention? Or are we really that stupid as a nation?

Sadly enough the rest of the world IS laughing at us - nervously laughing. I can't understand why there aren't riots in the street. I can't understand why Rumsfeld is still around. Why Chaney hasn't faced felony charges, why Powell hasn't quit in disgust, and why in the world McCain is out stumping for Bush????? why????

By now we're used to the world laughing at us.

They laughed at us for getting all tweaked about Clinton's blow job, too.

We could change our motto... No longer the land of the free, but instead, "have a good chuckle on us."

Chaney? Lon Chaney died years ago.

If Kerry gets elected, the answer would be YES, we are a stupid nation.....

because Osama has the secret recipe for Outback Steakhouse Bloomin' Onion and wont share it, that heartless bastard.

CASH AND KERRY SPECIAL INTEREST HYPOCRITE

In 2001, Kerry Warned His Senate Colleagues Of Very Thing He Did On “Big Dig.” “In March 2001, for example, [Kerry] warned his colleagues that taking money from special interests created the perception that Congress was for sale. ‘When somebody sitting on a particular committee has to go out and raise money from people who have business before that committee, or when someone in the Senate has to ask for money from people who have legislative interests in front of them on which they will vote, there is almost an automatic cloud, he [Kerry] said.’ Kerry should know. Over the course of his Senate career, he has not been averse to taking campaign cash from companies and firms with a direct interest in his work.” (Charles Lewis and The Center For Public Integrity, The Buying Of The Presidency 2004, 2004, pp. 364-365)

The Big Dig, now 18 BILLION over budget!!! that's Kerry in a nutshell............

Saddam Hussein is in jail, but the guy responsible for 9/11 is coordinating more attacks. Way to go George W!

National motto?
E Pluribus Unum? No, scratch that. With President "I'm a uniter, not a divider" Bush, the country is more divided than anytime since the Civil War.
Land of the Free? American citizens being held for years without access to lawyers. Scratch that one.
Home of the Brave? We have an administration full of men who actively avoided service in a war they supported. Scratch that too.
In God We Trust? To do what? Protect us from terrorists? Spare us from natural disasters? Assure us victory in war and prosperity in peace? Can he even keep church roofs from falling in on the heads of his worshipers? Nope. Scratch that one as well.
After four years of Bush/Cheney, I suggest a new national motto:

E Pluribus Anus
What a bunch of assholes.

The White House proposed that Kerry stop attackiing the President for some period of time, from 12 hours to three days, while the President would be free to attack Kerry.

Karl Rove is playing for a tie.

Well, at least you can spell THAT right.

Yeah, I'd expect other countries WOULD laugh at us when citizens don't know the name of their own Vice-Pres.

Geesh chey - nothing better to do today than be my personal spelling police? That's sorta pathetic. I'm sure there's a clique drama just waiting for you to commandeer somewhere.

I'm still not convinced he is not in China...

I don't think Bush wants Bin Laden caught. He is too useful as the boogie man he uses to scare all the Bible-Thumping, Flag-Waving sheep.
Vote for me or the Boogie Laden will get you!

I say quibbling about spelling is just a pain in the ass. If we're going to do it, though, I propose that we change it to reflect reality.

We know that he's a Dick, and I'm sure he's is a Dom. Let's spell it Chainie for fun, shall we?;)

Bin Laden is holed up in Jeb Bush's basement eating Cheetos.

I think I saw Cheeto dust in his beard.

Say,.....there were reports of absentee ballots coming in with traces of orange residue on them.

.....could it be?
