Why does what another person post offend you so much?

When things are not directed at you, why do you still get pissed over it?

Who cares what another person posts or how they post, just ignore it. I'm tired of hearing about fluffy posts and fluffy threads... Why do we need such classifications? Why cant we just all post what we want when we want to. Who cares if the board gets cluttered with a bunch of posts that do not pertain to you.

I say less bitching about what other people post and concentrate more on self improvement.

Be who you want to be, ignore posts that you dont like. Stay out of threads you find mundane. Be who you are and stop bitching about everyone else.

Just my public service announcement for the day...

i'd actually prefer people to tell me if they thought what i said was wrong or a lot of crap ... even if it wasn't directed at them

but i agree some people can go to far in looking for it

It doesn't. But the fact that you think it does really pisses me off.

I'm not one to bitch about people posting inane crap. I'm also not one to bitch about people bitching about posting inane crap, or even bitching about people who bitch about people who who bitch about people posting inane crap. :D

AMEN!!!! LMM, I totally agree - well said!

(Disclaimer: My agreement is actually due to experiences on another chat board similar to this. I find Lit to be fairly liberal this way!) :rose:

Uh, probably because some things just piss me the fuck off. That tends to happen to the average person eh?

Who cares what another person posts or how they post, just ignore it.

Huh? They post so people can see it, not so they can ignore it. This isn't a place to post where everyone will sit around and tell you what you want to hear just to keep from hurting your feelings. It's open to discussion regardless if the responding parties agree with the other posts or not.

That is like... the whole point of a discussion forum.

I'm tired of hearing about bitching about the fluffy posts and threads, and in reality everything has some kind of classification. It's just a fact. I mean, a political thread is quite obviously a political thread, is it not?

And who is stopping fluff from being posted? I want to post bitchy rude posts and bitch about fluff. And I want to post it when I want to. Works both ways huh? :)

Hey, I guess the bitching about fluff threads would not pertain to you, correct? Who cares if the board is cluttered with it.

I'm great, I've done quite a bit to improve me - and much like the normal person I will continue to do so throughout my entire life. Lit is a message board on an adult website, not a self-help forum.

Be who you want to be, ignore posts that you dont like. Stay out of threads you find mundane. Be who you are and stop bitching about everyone else.

I am who I want to be. If I get the urge to bitch about something, I'll do it. That's being who I am. I don't want to ignore posts I don't like, thats not why I came here. I came here to read posts and respond to them regardless if I agree with their content or not.

I just got into a similar discussion with someone who I consider a very good friend who constantly tells me about their problems and is quite the happy camper when I my opinions agree with hers. Last night I disagreed with what she was doing for the first time ever and she didn't like it and decided to fly off the handle and start calling me names.

I'm sorry but if you put yourself out there for some kind of feedback or response, not everyone will always agree with you. Discussion and conversation isn't all about holding back and only feeding a person what he or she wants to hear.
