One thing I will say is that there is absolutely an epidemic of white supremacists in the western world. They're everywhere, very loud and very easy to spot. They absolutely believe that simply being white means you are privileged, that the other races are all inferior and cannot succeed or do well without the assistance of the whites. They loudly and proudly speak for other races, telling them how they cannot succeed or function in modern society without the help of whites. They absolutely believe the power of whites is absolute, and all issues and problems can be laid at their feet because of this.

And even though whites are a global minority, they demand the world exclusively note their influence in the world, across all issues like slavery, colonialism, cultural assimilation, etc. And if you dare try to dispute their notions and perspectives that is dependent on the superiority of whites, they will attack you mercilessly and actually try to claim you're the racist for not agreeing with them. They're so convinced of the superiority of whites that they believe it's impossible to be racist against them, that's how far above they think they are over all others.

I remember watching someone debate one of these people, and when challenged on why can't we just ignore race and treat everyone as equals, they said with a straight face that 'then white people would just take over everything'.

The instant you see anyone (especially a white person) claim some non white minority group needs special help/assistance/protections, you've spotted a white supremacist.

Unfortunately, your argument has no end or solution as it is part of the problem, its the dog chasing its tail. The issue has no avenue for improvement other than to get bigger and better higher capacity weapons in the dick swinging contest. All along while law enforcement is stuck with the job of cleaning up what happens when an unhinged person/s has one of these weapons. Far too often families and communities are the ultimate victims.

Its cool, current interpretations (with healthy support from lobby groups) of the second amendment says that you can own one....so by all means.

Honestly what I own in the way of firearms is no one's business as long as I possess them and use them legally.

Brings up another point that is the peoples business. Legally owning and using has no indication proper training of how and when to use them properly.

Like driving a car, and or a CDL, training and certification on a regular basis would be a step in the right direction, unfortunately legislation like this has not passed.

I am trained and have taken my concealed carry courses. The decision to unholster my pistol, point it at someone, and potentially shoot them is not something I take lightly. I hope I never have to do any of them. But I will to protect myself and my loved ones.

The UK police do very well without high capacity magazines. They only have single-shot on their rifles, no bullet-spray allowed. When was the last time the UK had a mass shooting?

Yes. The reason there are black communities and Hispanic communities is not that we enjoy living in poverty. Its because until 1970 something it was perfectly legal not to sell to people of color. It still happens but its not legal. Until the 80s there was no such thing as a FICO score. Getting a loan for a home or business was really about the banker liking the cut of your jib so to speak.

We KNOW poverty causes crimes of all sorts and yes up to and including murder. These are things that hopefully will be entirely gone by the time maybe not Gen Z but for the next group comes up.

We know the legal system from top to bottom are against people of color. They are more likely to be arrested for the same crimes, will get longer sentences and this is before we start discussing police treatment to this very day. People not trusting the cops, and with good reason means that they solve problems on their own which obviously is not a great thing.

What makes you think I'm miserable? The fact that I understand American culture and all its flaws. And before you give me the "leave then" American education is so bad no other nation would have me and more importantly I'm not a coward. When my house is messed up I fight to fix it, not to flee.

I think that you ignore the successes of minorities and their rising standard of living to focus on your own failures hiding behind that tired, old excuse, "I'm a minority."

Well, I'm a minority too and I've done just fine by persevering, not whining, and putting my character on display through word and deed, and I think that you have not given full measure to your inherent abilities and want to put the blame on everything and everybody not looking back at you in the morning mirror where you remind yourself, "It's not me! Society (culture) is out to get me because I'm not white!"

I have experienced that from a lot of young bucks on the reservation as my teacher gently reminded me, "All they got to do is go get a job! I did! You did!"

Lesson learned: If you put in the effort in this country, you will be rewarded and skin color no longer matters that much. Just look at all of the Denzels and Oprahs...
