The other is that when you can be reasonably certain you're walking into a knife fight you don't need a gun. Which would also make the police less skittish. Sure it might have some issues. I remember a few years back when the terrorist attack in France happeneds and literally even the cops don't have guns so they had to call for their equivalent of SWAT but they also don't have mass shootings.

Yes. The reason there are black communities and Hispanic communities is not that we enjoy living in poverty. Its because until 1970 something it was perfectly legal not to sell to people of color. It still happens but its not legal. Until the 80s there was no such thing as a FICO score. Getting a loan for a home or business was really about the banker liking the cut of your jib so to speak.

We KNOW poverty causes crimes of all sorts and yes up to and including murder. These are things that hopefully will be entirely gone by the time maybe not Gen Z but for the next group comes up.

We know the legal system from top to bottom are against people of color. They are more likely to be arrested for the same crimes, will get longer sentences and this is before we start discussing police treatment to this very day. People not trusting the cops, and with good reason means that they solve problems on their own which obviously is not a great thing.

What makes you think I'm miserable? The fact that I understand American culture and all its flaws. And before you give me the "leave then" American education is so bad no other nation would have me and more importantly I'm not a coward. When my house is messed up I fight to fix it, not to flee.
