For me, I had not seen much of what you or Lady F were talking about the other day until she posted the links and started her ranting at me. Honestly I am here for the fluff and to have fun and had never seen most of those posts. I've only been back three months, I wasn't going to dig through history for things I didn't know existed.

I would think that a lot of people have been seeing the light for a while. They may not be posting here for whatever reason, but I've gotten a good amount of PMs regarding the racism bullshit and my sounding off on it. There's lots of heads here who are on point and for those people, they ground me on the progressive minds that are here for the same reasons I'm here. I'm thankful for them and I got their back. Unlike another member I don't have to name, whose rather limp-wristed birthday thread doesn't prove a whole lot substantially as far as who he believes his "friends" on here to be. Switch-on-switch-off internet friends you never have to face or care about. Don't mean shit.

It also doesn't mean making threads and posts that single out someone just to fight with them. What it really means is standing up for a value of common respect and dignity, even if you disagree with another person or a group of people.

People make up their own minds about what their values are and what they ultimately stand for. For me, the switch-on-switch-off nature of the internet doesn't make my values any less valid. And my values aren't about degrading others' races, gender or orientation just because I can. Whatever the village idiot here would have you believe, there is no virtue in being proud of one's "honesty" about their hatred of someone's race, especially an honesty that exists ONLY in cyberspace.
