i know what you mean. i am a noob here and i just encountered an extremely racist post today. i was tacken aback. i was shocked and my feelings were really hurt. i couldn't believe it. i was even more appalled to see no one said anything about it and just continued to laugh and chat with him. i thought about saying something but realized there is no arguing with someone so ignorant. i thought about running far away from this site but a friend i made here consoled me that not everyone here condones that behavior. i don't know how much more i can take though.

put the offensive poster on ignore. it will make your lit experience much more pleasant.

Use Ignore, I urge you. That's probably why you didn't see anybody saying anything--most of the sensible folks probably have whoever that is on Ignore already. There are a lot of cool people here, stick around and you'll see who they are.

click their name, click view profile. the link is there. you won't see their threads, posts OR pm's. ignore is a wonderful thing!

One way: Go to their profile, on the upper right in white you'll see "Add xxxxxx to Your Ignore List". Click on that. You won't see their posts anymore. I'm not sure about PMs.

Best thing to do is to put them on iggy. I have those jerks on iggy and it makes this place more pleasant.
