Why do some posters sign their posts? Do you think they don't realize that people will glance left to see who wrote it? Is it from some anal fascination with seeing their nick on the screen? What do you think?

I think it's a throwback to when you write letters and sign your name at the bottom.

I post the same threads over and over. My cycle is about three months long. Then, the tape is rewound.
