They love to eat, why not do the dishes? I've heard a few men say they avoid it. WHY?!

They are afraid that not only will thier hands shrivel in the water, it might be contagious to other body parts.

I do nearly all my cooking in disposable aluminum pans, the grill or the crock pot. And I eat from paper plates. Doing the dishes is second only to doing the laundry on my list of domestic chores I dislike.

Willingness to do the dishes is one of those things I judge character by observing.

Some people judge you by your shoes. I judge by the willingness to do icky manual labor because it needs to be done.

This applies to men and women.

I'll do laundry all day and night. I fucking hate washing dishes.

When I say, "it fucks up my nails" I seriously mean it fucks up my nails. I think that I'm allergic to dish soap. My hands turn all red and crack and bleed and my nails get all brittle and crack all the way to the bottom and bleed and shit. So to avoid that when I do /do/ dishes, I do it with brillo pads.

I don't mind laundry or doing dishes. I hate mopping, vacuuming, dusting and making a bed.

It could be true

I avoid it like the plague. It fucks up my nails.

as much as i admire your posts, this is why we are incompatible.

I am very fortunate (and feel just a tiny bit guilty)...but my husband does the majority of cooking and dishes.

I can load up the dishwasher with the best of them, so, no, this man does not shirk his dishwashing responsibilities.
