Why do so many want the women pregnant?

I think there are a number of thi gs at work here.

1. It's outrageous on its face and heightens the trangressiveness of the kink. The naughtier the better.

2. Some people are just turned on by pregnancy.

3. It fulfills the Oedipal fantasy. By getting mom pregnant son completely takes dad's place.

4. Dominance and control over the female partner.

5. It's a version of the romantic hea fantasy. Incest readers are a weirdly romantic lot.

I get those comments once in a while. I'm making the assumption that the commenter is male and in that context, the idea is that by impregnating the woman, the guy has shown that she is his or that he has shown her how much of a man he is.

Another part of the fetish seems to be that some men are excited by the thought that their wife might become pregnant by another man. To me this sort of blends into the cuckold fetish because then the husband will then be forced to raise a child he knows is not his.

On the flip side, there are women for whom the idea they might become pregnant adds to the thrill of sex with a stranger or with a man they are not married to. I don't pretend to understand that particular fetish, but I have corresponded with women who definitely have that fetish.

It probably seems like more people than it is. There are just more vocal about it - possibly.

I think it has a lot more to do with making the story that much more naughty and transgressive than any misogyny. It's not a subgenre I seek out, though I've read plenty of stories that ended with a pregnancy.

I do come across stories that involve a man claiming a woman in some way, and a few of them also involve pregnancies. I can see how you might call it misogyny when it's done that way.
I think they want those milky titties slurping down her milk while she strokes his excited cock. I find this so sexy to have him look up at you sensually sucking and later turned fucking as her milk squirts out as she cums

OK, so I get it, just another fetish for some. Why do so many want their mother, sister, brother, son, wife, daughter, co-worker, neighbor and so on to do this that or whatever.

Pregnant is life changing, no matter how it turns out.

Why can't adults just have fun without consequences?
@Five_Inch_Heels,
I think it's just a mere male thing, "Oh, look at me, I'm so fertile I could impregnate a rhinoceros!"
Bragging rights in my mind. However, come to think of it, when my ex was expecting her sex drive went through the roof. That and her taste for cherry flavoured ice cream - at 2 a.m.
Respectfully and slightly puzzled,
D.

I don't do incest stuff so IDK what might be going on there. In the world of romance, it seems like part of at least some HEA fantasies. Particularly if the characters are coming from broken families, trying to heal that.

One of the more unusual pregnancy comments I got (outside of Incest-Taboo) was against a science fiction story called 'Cindy's Close Encounter' in which three cheerleaders and their jock boyfriends are abducted by aliens on Halloween night and taken aboard their flying saucer. The aliens, which have no concept of having sex for fun or indeed fun in general, administer a serum to the abductees that acts as an aphrodisiac and pair the girls with their respective boyfriends, observing them having sex, each couple able to see the others having sex too. Upon release from the UFO, the aliens attempt to wipe the abductees' minds - which doesn't work 100% - and the three girls immediately start menstruating, despite none of them being due for a period in the next week.

One comment against the story was that all three girls should have had sex with the three different guys, and all three of them become pregnant with no idea who the father of their respective babies are. Given the odd events that take place afterwards for the six unfortunate teens abducted by the UFO such as unexplained health problems, memory slips, nightmares, strange behaviour, picking up odd skills like being able to speak fluent Latin, forgetting other things they know, menacing men in black keeping tabs on them, gossip around their town in Connecticut and at the high school they attend (all are Seniors aged 18), making the three girls pregnant on top of everything else seems a bit too much.

Especially given that the story is set in the late 1950s, and life was not pleasant for unwed, teenage mothers back in those days.

For a certain category of reader, that's the point, or at least one point. They like stories where the female characters are miserable.

Not exactly the same, but I’ve had similar experiences—like getting comments asking, “Why didn’t the male protagonist film them?” It points to a particular domination or exhibitionism fetish that’s often at play. There's a desire to heighten the thrill by layering in things like recording, taboos, or family dynamics—but without the messy aftermath. In those readers' minds, the act is exciting because it brushes up against real-world consequences... which the fantasy then neatly sidesteps or ignores.

I was reading a nice little "mistaken identity" story and the MMC starter taking pictures and it completely took me out of the story.
For me it went from fun and exciting to thinking, "that could totally ruin her life." Not exactly a turn on.

Three of my male leads get their female leads pregnant, but there's nothing really fetish-y about it.

WIth two couples (20M,18 F; 18M, 18 F), it's one thing leading to another; they're so caught up in the moment and each other that the're not thinking. In another instance, the female lead (21) is blackmailing the male lead (23) and telling him, "Part of what I have over you involves barebacking me; if I get pregnant, so be it." And as it happens, she does.

In all instances, the door is left open, and so Mother Nature walks through it and does her thing.

Barefoot and pregnant women maybe?

Just another isolated comment where someone wanted their own specific fantasy (probably too lazy to write it themself) and when you didn't deliver it, they had to say something. I wouldn't worry about it.

I get you. I feel like every story I've written got some kind of comment about getting someone pregnant.

I tend to just roll my eyes and move along, but it does annoy me that people feel like it's on any way helpful or constructive to basically try and demand a writer pander to their kinks.

If you're into that, good for you, but if a story doesn't contain it Comme ting isn't going to change that. No character in any story I write for here will ever get pregnant, that's not what I'm writing about.

We should keep in mind that in the US as soon as a woman is pregnant, there is a unborn person involved who is underage, with rights, and therefore the story contravenes the underage rules and must be banned, along with the OP. Not sure about alien babies, or werewolf pups.
ETA ;)
in case anyone mistook my sarcasm for swivel-eyed-bs

Oh, ferfucksakes. (eyeroll)

I've gotten so many comments saying how my female characters need to get pregnant, even for stories where it doesn't make sense if that happens.
From the way they comment, I feel like it's a fetish thing, other times I feel like they want to see the male character have full control over the female character.
But I never see them make the comment suggesting her to get pregnant in a romantic way for the couple to be together, it always seems like something beyond that.

I have gotten some of my female characters pregnant when I felt it was appropriate for the story, but only when it makes sense to end the story that way.

The objectively correct thing to do with fake feedback like that is delete it. Those people's comments don't deserve to exists on our stories. They're completely worthless and letting those comments stay up wastes space on a server somewhere in the physical world, which is deeply immoral/unethical/evil/wrong.

The female main characters in my stories nearly always wind up pregnant, and I even include detailed birth scenes where appropriate. That's exactly what happens to the FMC in my first and so far only I/T story on Lit.

Due to Poe's Law, I refuse to put a reaction until further clarification is presented.

In I/T (screw this its T/I now crap) pregnancy is simply the upping the level of taboo.

A mother with her son is "The ultimate crossing of the sexual and moral line" but wait! What if he gets her pregnant? That's an even bigger taboo! He's the father to his own brother reeeeeeeeee!

In general, Pregnancy is filed under my 'this is fantasy, I don't need reality' list.

Then "crossing the line" becomes impossible to hide.

That's my theory with the pregnancy comments in Incest Taboo stories too, a progression of the fetish to greater heights.

It might start off slowly, with a reader interested in stories about kissing cousins, flirty stepsiblings, in-laws who like to keep things in the family or stories where there is no direct sexual contact, and is restricted to voyeurism and forbidden desires. From there it steps up a level, to step-parents and step-kids, and to the aunt/uncle/niece/nephew stories, and from there to close relatives - mother/father/son/daughter/brother/sister. But when immediate family stories no longer satisfy the kink, what is the ultimate taboo? Incest resulting in pregnancy.
