Why do I consistently regret not going to bed earlier?

This pointless thread brought to you by wasted time and the light bulb.

I have this happen to me often. :) You are in good company.

Man, I went to bed 3 hours ago, and look where I am again!

Not even being in bed with the most beautiful woman in the world could make me stay there, tossing and turning. When I can't sleep, and the only thing on TV, even satellite, is infomercials, then it's back to Lit to see what's changed since I last was here. Sadly, not much here has changed at this time of morning either.

I guess I shouldn't have slept those 4 hours this afternoon, then maybe I would actually be sleeping like any other "normal" person in the U.S.

Guilty as charged.

I know I really need sleep if I start nodding off in front of my computer during the day at work.

Mouse, as you know from wee hour chats, I just quit a job working midnights. My sleep was so messed up, it was just infuriating! I am happy to report having slept all through the night, from 12am til 7am the last two nights in a row!!! hooray!! I'm starting to feel human again ;)

Damn it! I knew I was doing something wrong. You mean I'm supposed to log off of lit and actually go to bed?

Come on sweetie.......you can do it.........click that button..........

Now crawl between the covers, close your eyes........... suddenly sit up straight in bed remembering something you intended to say.

I always end up going to bed really late and then getting up late.
I've started setting the alarm clock so I can get up in the morning and log onto lit. I actually get to use the comp when he's unconscious. Yay!
So now I'm just a sleep deprived computer addict.
 ;) :D

Yep. Me too.

I actually went to bed early last night. In bed about 9:30 I think, read for a while and then lights out. It's amazing how good I feel with a solid night's sleep in me. I should try it more often. :)

Thanks for rubbing it in Ruby, I would have dozed off with you but you didnt offer. *sigh*

The relentless insomnia coupled with staying up when I am actually tired has robbed me of REM sleep for too long. Grrrrrr.

MM, lack of REM sleep can make you crazy. I know from experience.

When the twins were newborns and nursing around the clock, I couldn't even put a complete sentence together.

p.s. You're welcome to snuggle up with me for a good night's sleep anytime. I hope you don't mind that my dog snores.

I dont know how I would deal with having to pull my shit together and take care of my children.

I'll pick up some nasal strips for the dog and be over tonight with my jammies on.

It took me a while to realize this myself, LL!! Had another sleepless night, then a solid day of sleeping, and now I'm back! Hope Santa brings me some will power this Xmas!;)

I really think I'm doing something wrong, going to bed early for me is being in bed by 12. And once I fall asleep, a good nights sleep is me not waking up every single hour, maybe just every other. And for some reason, if I get a lot more sleep than I usually do in one night I feel extra-worse in the morning.

I blame my parents or rather parent for my inability to sleep. That bitch!

:D

Sleep. What that???????

I work six days a week and average 65 hours. When I do get home I try to have some sort of a life. I usually go to bed around 11 and back up at 5:30. I'm not sure what sleep is? I think I'm doing something wrong:confused:

Because we have no will power.

We all simply suck.

I beg your pardon, only the really tough can keep going on consistantly less than four hours of sleep. Oh sure, we get a little grumpy and forgetful, but this time of year, who isn't?
