I just wondering if anyone is following the NFL draft and if your team got what you think they needed?

I'm watching the picks, although I'm not a pro football fan. I love the notion of building a team, and since I do watch college football, it makes the Draft somewhat entertaining. Well, that and Mel Kiper's hair. ;)

My hometown team hasn't picked yet, but even when it does pick, it would blow it.

You have to have some confidence in your team. Hope springs eternal.
My team traded down and got a few more pics.

Sorry. For a team that drafted Jim McMahon the year before the greatest class of quarterbacks ever, drafted Stan Thomas, Rashaan Salaam, Alonzo Spellman, Rex Grossman, Cedric Benson and the immortal Cade McNown, among others, there is no hope.

I find it interesting how they boo the comissioner every time he comes to the podium...LOL

I'm from Cleveland.. we might have a better record this year than in years past.. you know.. if they don't play

::sigh::

Yes, I am watching. We traded the 6th pick for more picks. That is either more opportunity to add playmakers to the team or more opportunity to pick busts. The jury is out. Though, Heckert had a fairly good draft record in Philly so maybe he'll get something right.

Viking fans.....WTF was up with that pick??? Christian Ponder????:eek:

That DT we just drafted should really help our defense. It was great that Hollis was able to announce him. I just hope he'll break the Madden Curse.

Nice picks for the Lions...........I am excited to see what the Lions can do......
and nice one for the Saints with Ingram

i was sitting in a buffalo wild wings here in detroit and the locals really seemed pleased with the first round pick for the lions :)

While I don't think they are a championship calibur team yet..............they are getting there in putting a winning team together.............

Crazy draft. Ponder to the Vikes? Locker to the Titans? How does Gabbert fall past those guys? Never thought Ingram would drop that far. Patriots are up to their old tricks. Jimmy Smith to the Ravens was a steal for them. Hoping Rudolph drops to the Rams in the 2nd.

no offense, but i could take or leave detroit lol i just thought i would share that :)

Very strange first round...I did like the Chiefs pick though!

KCJ

really liked the packers pick. and gabbert was picked before ponder but he has question marks because he didnt play in a pro style system

All I know about football is that they look great when they are bent over and yelling "hut hike!"

having been raised in the Detroit area...we take no offense at stuff like that, we already know. Lol

Happy to see my boys from Bama being taken in the first round. Roll Tide!

I'm curious how Cam Newton does. I don't think he's as good as everyone thinks. He is either another Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russel. Then again the Panthers might have a great QB. I wonder what will happen with Jimmy Clausen? I saw a team trade the first round draft pick instead of trading down they traded up the morons!! You don't trade up!! Why teams passed over Mark Ingram is a mystery to me, I believe he went as the 26 pick. The only RB to go as the 25 pick was Steven Jackson. All in all the first round was good. We shall see what happens.

The Bears made decent picks in the first two rounds.

They'll probably blow out the ACL's the minute training camp begins.
