LOL, maybe the lady in question wants the humiliation factor played big which disclaimers can interfere with plenty...and is not usually the same as punishment....and perhaps he thought people knew him better than to break rules which involved others. ..Edited to add: Mods are just posters who take on added tasks....have yet to meet one who finds the position makes them perfect in every way others may or may not be.

Since my original thread was deleted, I will post my response here.

Regarding the respect I seem to have lost from many of my colleagues in this forum. It was never truly deserved in the first place if it was based on an idealized image of my character. I suggest you use the polite Wall Street term and consider this a value "correction".

Regarding the picture itself. I do have a record of written permission to "pass (the picture) around to my friends" from the female who sent it to me. Doubtlessly, she did not intend on my taking it this far, but since she sent me the controversial picture after about an hour of knowing me I would say it's clear that foresight and risk management is not her forte.

Regarding my being a moderator. I accepted this position with the understanding that it would not interfere with my casual posting. I would rather relinquish my position than my freedom of expression, and if it is judged that I am too controversial to be mod so be it. I do so enjoy being mod in this forum that I love so dearly however, and I believe I have done far more good than bad in the time that I've had this mysteriously coveted position.

Hmmm, just as a genuine thought...how does anyone here know who is real and who isn't? Yes, someone may start a pic thread and say it is them but in reality it could be their ex or present partner or someone else they found on the web...and yes, another poster may vouch it is them but maybe they are another creation of the original one poster to add validity..and how often does anyone ever question those pictures and who they are really of anyway?

Not trying to be controversial, but part of interacting on the web and forums is you need to trust people to an extent you feel comfortable with because we never meet the majority of people we communicate with..over time you get a picture of who a person is...sometimes you get it right, sometimes perhaps not but unless Lit and other such sites begin conducting personal face to face interviews first before pictures can be posted, theree will alway s be room for error and misjudgement. Personally I am happy to accept Marquis word though I know him less deeply than many on the board seem to...just a feeling I have I guess and the fact he has never been reluctant to admit when he has goofed in some way, and is willing to share and learn from others.

Who cares who deleted the thread? The point was that it got all sorts of people riled up and acting in an almost witch-hunt fashion and there were apparently some pretty big misunderstandings going on, so I'm glad it's off the board. Now, given the 2-min. attention span of most people online, folks will forget about it and leave our forum in peace. Silly GB invaders.

What surprised me, actually, was seeing how many people on the GB in a thread about Marquis's thread cite the rigid rules-following that people who post here alllegedly do or promote as their reason for not posting here. I'm about as anti-rules, anti-protocol, anti-scene-anything as you can get and I still post here. And while some people here like rules more than others, I don't see anyone who's really extreme about having to be SSC or do things a particular way in order to be percieved correctly. Some even said their reason for staying away was that people in this forum post using the Y/you convention? When was this? 1999? In the six months I've been reading here I saw one newbie doing the Y/you thing and she even apoligized to everyone in advance for doing so, lol. At any rate, I suspect their reasons are more personal and less rational for not posting here, like those of most people who abandon a particular fourm. Can't say for sure, but it's certainly the pattern I've seen everywhere (shrug).

But as for me, there's just so much that is really interesting that you can't ask or talk about on the GB without getting straight people all upset or totally grossed out or at best, completely mystified at the subject matter. That's why I like posting here. I can be sexually extreme in the ways I like and not have to defend my extrermeness or even explain it over and over again to someone completely confused--I just have to post the bizarre pics, lol.
