Whistleblower

Past impeachment precedent have had a full vote of the house. Constitutional scholars seem to interpret the lack of a vote could stymie any cooperation from the executive branch as far as documents and witnesses production falling under executive privilege. Just my humble opinion. Much of the impeachment process is untested and theory. no president has ever been removed from office, both acquitted.

A full vote of the House is required to force a trial in the Senate.

So this happened:

Two Trump administration officials reportedly drafted a statement meant to be released by the Ukrainian government announcing an investigation into Burisma, the company which had employed the son of former Vice President Joe Biden (D), as well as alleged Ukrainian election interference on behalf of Hillary Clinton (D).

The New York Times reported Thursday that Kurt Volker, Trump's envoy to Ukraine who tendered his resignation last week, was one of the two officials involved in drafting the statement, which pledged Ukraine's support for probes into both allegations of corruption involving Biden's son as well as charges that Ukrainian officials aided Clinton's campaign against Trump in 2016.

Volker reportedly drafted the statement with Gordon Sondland, Trump's ambassador to the European Union (EU), in the weeks following a widely-criticized call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during which Trump pressed Zelensky to open an investigation into Biden, currently a leading Democratic candidate for president.

So you’re going to do this for us, and we are going to tell you what to say about it. Capiche?

An Internal Revenue Service official has filed a whistleblower complaint
reporting that he was told that at least one Treasury Department political
appointee attempted to improperly interfere with the annual audit of the
president or vice president’s tax returns, according to multiple people
familiar with the document.

Key parts of the complaint remain under wraps in part because of
strict privacy laws that prevent the disclosure of any details related
to the filing of tax returns.

A spokesman for Rep. Richard E. Neal (D-Mass.), the chairman of
the House Ways and Means Committee refused to share any details
about the substance of the complaint, citing taxpayer protection rules.

I trust all of the whistleblowing discussion on the thread will now turn to this tax issue whistleblower. The Ukraine telephone call one is irrelevant now that Trump has admitted to all of that whistleblower's charges--and more.

Chairmen Schiff, Engel, and Cummings have released several pages of text messages from Kurt Volker, Bill Taylor, Gordon Sondland and others about Trump and Ukraine

Read ‘em and weep.
[7/25/19 8:36:45 AM] Kurt Volker: Good lunch - thanks. Heard from White House—assuming President Z convinces trump he will investigate / "get to the bottom of what happened" in 2016, we will nail down date for visit to Washington. Good luck! See you tomorrow- kurt

[9/1/19, 12:08:57 PM] Bill Taylor: Are we now saying that security assistance and WH meeting are conditioned on investigations?

[9/1/19 12:42:29 PM] Gordon Sondland: Call me

Breaking via NYT:

Two of Trump's top envoys to Ukraine drafted a statement for
Volodymyr Zelensky in August that would have committed
Ukraine to pursuing investigations sought by Trump into his
political rivals, three people briefed on the effort said.

The interesting thing is that the fledgling Ukrainian government, faced with needing military aid with its people dying on the battlefield from a Russian invasion, seems to have shown more integrity and sense of right and wrong in resisting pressure to manufacture dirt on a Trump political opponent in exchange for survival supplies than Trump and his henchmen did in anything they've been doing. High marks to Ukraine and minus points to the Trump corrupt and criminal regime.

Breaking — A source familiar with the investigation prompted by the whistleblower tells me that the “indicia of bias of an arguable political bias on the part“ of the whistleblower referred to by the Intel Community IG, is that the whistleblower is a Registered Democrat.

Yeah, like when Obama came to their rescue, giving them blankets and MREs. You people always distort the truth when you’re losing.

Sorry, talking point. :rose:
By March 2015, the US had committed more than $120 million in security assistance for Ukraine and had pledged an additional $75 million worth of equipment including UAVs, counter-mortar radars, night vision devices and medical supplies, according to the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

Mislabled once again

The liberals are artists at mislabeling things as part of their mind control.

Think about it: They use the term "Whistleblower" which instantly indicates that some evil has been exposed. In this case there was no "whistleblower" because there was nothing to blow a whistle about. The same was true of the Russia hoax. But the mindless masses fall for the label and assume that someone did something and a good person risked their safety by blowing a whistle. What a crock.

Trump promised to drain the swap. So, if Trump holds true to his promise the swamp needs to be investigated and prosecuted.

Fmr. Amb. Michael McFaul says newly released text messages among diplomats reveal a much more "calculated" process of trying to get Ukraine to investigate the Bidens.
