Best I've ever had was redbreast 12 year. It's a single pot Irish whisky. Makers mark is my favorite in terms of bourbon. Not a big scotch fan.

How the fuck can beer be overrated? It's the most popular alcoholic drink and third most popular drink on the planet. Everyone brews it and drinks it. It's older than wine and was crucial to every early civilization.

Actually, to my knowledge, the oldest alcohol recipe in the world is a recipe for Mead. Which is Honey Wine.
And the fact that it's so popular is kinda what makes it over rated. I'm not saying it's bad (though, the first beer I had tasted like piss), I just feel it's over hyped. I was disappointed by it, because for all the hype I expected something more. Though, I haven't tried any craft beers yet. That might interest me.
It's just not my thing in general, though. I prefer something a little stronger like whiskey or vodka, or something like wine.
