I write by hand so that I can think better.. I jsut can't think when trying to write technical stuff at a computer screen.

And this way, I cut down on editing: I write by hand, and then as I type, I edit.

You get used to it.

I had to do it routinely, not because I was a lazy student, but because I'd often be assigned two or three such papers in one week.

I do the same thing and find it much easier, plus the proof reading opportunities allows a much better paper.

Ah, the joys of being a student. All nighters (not that type, the "I forgot I have a paper due tomorrow"-types). Copious amounts of Coke or coffee. Far too many chocolate bars. Floppy disks that flops. Printers that never print (or you run out of printing credits). The mate who listens to music with his headphones on and not realising he's stamping his foot and singing, annoying everyone in the lab.

Great that you finished it Vixen! I remember writing majority of my BA final paper the night before handing it it (also crammed in my final project presentation and a graphics project). I'm a sucker for procrastination and I need the adrenaline kick you get from knowing a huge paper is due the next day.

I have to work tonight, too... and tomorrow, and sunday... while cramming in Greek homework... and when I'mdone the Greek, I have to study for my Satire final, and when I'm done that, study for my Greek final. (those are the only two I'm worried about).
