Not sure if best place to post this buy kinda newbie sooooo.
I love music, most all types, and I have loved some songs since forever and I still can't repeat the lyrics word for word and when I do I screw that up so bad anyway.
But for me I pay attention to the melody, the interactions with the other musicians, which is why I prefer live versions of songs even if the studio version is cleaner.
I also feel that the live versions give insight to the musicians abilities and that shines through in less than pristine studios and it's real and not studio wizardry making it all work.
So am I a bad person for not giving a shit about the lyrics? Nor what those lyrics are trying to convey?
I don't like trying to read people's minds irl and thus don't care what the song's lyrics are trying to convey.
