Who is Debbie?
She used to post until fairly recently. Well, since I got here anyway. I always found her pretty entertaining.

If she annoyed scott, she must have been pretty funny.

Dude, you seriously need to read this thread. EVERYONE needs to read this thread. I haven't laughed so much in ages.

I just finished reading Ishmael's "Who remembers Siren?" thread. I need to take a nap before I start this one.

Just doin' my Lit duty, man. ;)

Bronze- Debbie was one of the finest Litsters of all, she was a sweetheart with a sharp mind and sassy wit. She is much missed.

The Melville line was my favourite.

I believe that Q and I can both agree that we're not the best of friends. We're polar opposites politically. I can't help if he wants to fuck me - I mean, who doesn't?

Your thread just shows the maturity level of a 13 year old Paris Hilton.
I wonder if this is the first Lit mention of Paris Hilton?

If it is, shame on you Raw.

My 5 faves-
Grapes of Wrath- a tale of hardship during the Great Depression, showing how people delt in a dark period in modern American history.
Catcher in the Rye- the difficulties and indescretions of youth
Lolita- a mans yearning for what he can not have
Death of a Salesman- the struggle of an ordinary man, trying to raise his sons to the best of his abilities.
1984- the search for truth no matter the personal consequences.

WARNING: This is a sincere and earnest attempt to determine if one can truly die of laughter. It damned near got me. If "Death of a Salesman" as a novel and Orwell as an American don't quite do it, the spelling of "delt" and the brilliant summary of the chief themes of 1984 may yet finish you off.

When the Proctor told them, there was no penalty for wrong answers, he took him seriously.

Wow. An oldie, but goodie.

I miss Deb.

Debbie was an absolute sweetheart. One of the nicest people on Lit, ever. And absolutely ruthless when the situation called for it. I adored her.

Shit! You didn't say you had a PHD in Comparative Religion! We could've been calling you Dr Kippies all this time.

Yeah, well, I beat her in the poll.

If I recall, you came in second only to Jane Austen, and that was back when she was surfing the publicity wave of her new hip-hop single. You'd beat her in a fair match.

I missed the final results of that one. I'll bet she conceded graciously, though.

I'll admit to being a bit biased towards Debbie, if only because I know people she's sent cookies to.

Were you in Zoolander?

I haven't actually seen that movie... just bits and pieces.

Also, I miss broken*star.

Ahh. Yeah she has this kind of random cameo in it WAY before she was "famous".
