. . .of bread. :) Do you keep it in the fridge? A breadbox? Pantry? Counter? A drawer? A cabinet? I like the counter, actually I have no spot . . . mine seems to move around alot. ;)

I bake one every morning - an overnight process -

It ends up in the comode by 6:30 AM - like clockwork.

PBB

I find that if I don't move mine around a lot, it gets stale quickly.
Hate when that happens.

I have a special plastic box shaped like a loaf and the bread fits in it. It's supposed to keep it fresher but i think it makes it mold faster, not really sure. But any way the container is on a shelf in the kitchen near the peanut butter. Just curious ...why do you ask?

also, its nice to see you again beck babe...big kisses!!!

Whewwwwwwwwwww........Beck I thought you were helping Nasty with his fetish here lol............

My loaf of course is in the cupboard............Hugs Beck it is good to see you back............;) :p

All depends on the bread and the weather. If natural with no preservatives, the fridge. If in the heat of summer the fridge. If in the winter with all that dry air, the fridge. If that fake wondery bread type thing that hubby buys... shuddering..... the counter top in hopes it goes stale. But it never does.

In a bread box. I don't really think it keeps it fresher longer, but it keeps it out of sight (I don't like clutter). I live in a dry climate, so bread doesn't go bad quickly here, but in coastal California, I had to keep it in the fridge or it went bad in 3 days.

mine goes on the dresser... but that's only cuz there is no counter or any other place i can put it.. it sits rather close to the box of kleenex and the bag of nailpolish

I used to have one of those plastic bread keepers too, but only because I had a cat that would literally during the night, rip open the plastic bag, and eat the bread. I even caught it doing this one time.

Now the cats that I have, aren't interested in bread of any kind, so I just leave the bread on the counter next to the microwave. If it goes bad, I would rather feed the birds, than to just hrow it out, and walk a block to the store to get somethign fresh. My granparents always had bread on hand, because they would freeze it, and while it tasted alright for the most part, there was nothng wose except green bread, than getting those middle pieces that were still a little cold, and not as thawed as the end pieces were.

If I have my choice, the bread goes in the fridge just so it doesn't get moldy as fast as it would on the counter.

I don't keep it anywhere because I have no bread in my house - I have Celiac Syndrome; I am allergic to Gluten, but before I learned that, I kept it in the fridge.

On top of the pantry because hubby is convinced it molds faster when on top of the fridge. I think he's right. *gasp*

Floating Bread?

Does it get soggy? Nevermind

or is it like a Halloween trick you need to have your loaf exercised

And I thought this topic might be moldy! ;)

Southern! Nice to see you here . :) huggs. Why do I ask? I was curious. :) I may start a whole kitchen questions series. . .In the Kitchen with Beck, or something. . .we'll see. :D

April, you know I hear a lot of references to Nasty's fetish, but I was always afraid to search and see what it was. I think I get it now...thanks...I think? (huggs:) )

Lobito, my sister swears by that freeze the bread thing, but it seems wrong to me. I'll freeze a loaf if I have 2, but then I defrost it completely and put it on the counter. Using the bread like Eggo's is too weird. :)

IG, don't make me spank you.

Cheffie, I am going to spank you!

My loaf of bread is kept where ever it lands when we are done with it. :D

Own a bread box, sometimes it's on top of it, sometimes in it, sometimes left on the counter.

Used to keep it on top of the fridge, until i read that the warm air up there actually makes it mold faster.

We eat bread around here so fast, it really doesn't stick around long enough to actually be put away.

Breadbox.

Based on the title, I'd thought this was a Sparky thread, then I saw the originator. I'm surprised Sparky isn't getting litigous on you for topic infringement.

Just bustin' Sparky...:D

We've got a drawer in the kitchen that's got a built in breadbox in it. It's metal with a metal vented sliding cover.

We keep two loaves in there and freeze the extras downstairs til they're needed.

(We shop like every two months aside from milk and other stuff like that)
