The place I keep mine is not going to work much longer because the kids are just getting into too much stuff these days... where do you hide your toys from eyes that you don't want to see them ???

Either in my underwear draw (buried) or the in the nightstand next to my bed. I don't have any kids yet to be snooping around---something I'll have to keep in mind for the future. I like the idea of putting them behind the bathroom cleaning stuff---doubtful that anyone would look there.

I have a toy box *grins* One of those brass-bound wooden trunks with lock and key. I keep my toys, books, magazines, videos, and assorted goodies in there.

I think a locked box might have to be the answer... but a bit of a mind killer when you lean over to your lover and say, "Where the hell has the key gone!!!!"

Found out the hard way

I found out the hard way that I needed to hide my toys. My little one was three when one day she came running into the living room to show my parent the neat toy she found in mommy's room. I thought I would die.

Since then I lock them up in a drawer that is in easy reaching distance of my bed.

Not the first time the bathroom cleaner idea has been used......... when I was much younger I found my parent's stash in the bathroom closet behind the cleaners, towels and sheets....... God I got and still get bored easily and go exploring!!!

I have a filing cabinet in my room (locked!). That's where I keep mine!!! And all the magazines, oils, movies, etc!

Also....my cousins and I (I'm an only child) have a standing agreement! We all know where each others stuff is so we can clean it out before our parents find it.....if something should ever happen to us!! A bit morbid.....but oh well!!

Ummmmm............ been there. When I went off to College I forgot about a stash of mags. Mother wanted to redecorate my room and found them........ OMG i still remember the phone ringing that night!!!

I think she was more shocked that the human body could actually do some of those things!!! LOL

The more I think about it the more I think a number roller lock on it is the best idea.

At least with a number lock you don't have to worry about them finding the keys.

Oh, I totally agree! Ha ha I am living in dorms, and even when visiting my mom starts roomaging around! When leaving for Uni I had to record over a couple of movies and throw away some stories. I freak out every time she goes into my room and starts opening drawers...I think it's mostly paranoia though....hehe
