I need a regular www.address.com website address. I will be paying so I dont need a free geocities one.

Is Verisign or register.com the best place?

I have my own webspace so it can be a fowarding type, but not one of those hop.to types. I need a regular address name.

thanks

I have a zero reply fetish. I can't stand to see a 0 in the reply spot. It is a nagging peeve of mine.

I don't have any idea but I'm posting because this 0 is bothering the piss out of me.:D

I think I love you...

Thats okay, been doing some research myself.

Hi to you too!

Register.com is having a sale right now. I just re-upped for another 2 years.

Damn, I thought he loved me? :(

Oh well, you still love me don't you, LL?

Oh, I have no idea regarding the topic, just ignore me..

go with Godaddy.com - Less than $9.00 for first year, adn each additional year is cheaper.

I originally registered with network solutions/verisign, before go daddy was around, the money I've spent with NS/Verisign, I could have bought food for 2 months. When I had to renew this last month, I got 4 years with godaddy for less than the price of one year with Verisign.

As far as register.com goes, I understand they don't release the name as soon as they could or should. I know some who've had problems using their services.

Now I shall end my unlawful entry and go back to that story... :)

If you JUST want to register one (No hosting deals, etc.) Then the best place is internic.org - they're the actual organiszation in charge of internet domains.
