Not to say tonights threads are weak but they just aren't grabbing my attention. So what were some of your favorite threads and why?

p.s. a side question off the first Q: what draws you to a thread? Author, title, of who has posted last?

Excuse me? There are dozens of great threads in the first 2 or 3 pages.

But I guess that depends on what your definition of a "good thread" is?

And, of course, my usual advice to anyone who says things are boring, or that the threads aren't good - is to take matters into your own hands. Post good stuff to the threads there are or start threads on topics that interest you.

I have to agree with your assesment of tonights menu :D

I am drawn in by title usually....sometimes by who posted last.

Well I am sorry if I offended anyone about there threads. I just am not getting into these threads tonight. I have lurked these threads but nothing really needs to be said by my viewpoint. As for making my own thread that would catch the imagination of my fellow litsters, well my longest thread lasted all of three pages or so. That is why I am asking you the lit audience to tell me what catches you and makes you want to read and post on a thread.

I had a favourite thread it was one I created myself. At the time I thought it was a good idea, and I still do but it didn't work.

The thread itself was entitled THE EROTIC THREAD and was placed in the playground. The idea behind it was simple, people could come in and place whatever they considered to be erotic, whether it was a story, a picture or a sound file.

Although it got well recieved by a few, it just never got past two pages, it seemed that people were reluctant to add to it. If you like a read you should check it out, the idea was there just not as many horny people like me. lol

They have gone to graveyards, every one. When will you ever learn, when will you ever learn?

Realistically, guys,

a thread that goes two or three pages has done pretty well.

If you think there is more to add to your threads, post to them again, get them to the front page.

My threads seldom last longer than two or three pages, some fewer and two or three that have gone further.

What interests you?

I am not finding too much to grab onto tonight at lit, but that is more my state of mind than anything.

:)

I will admit to milking them a bit to get them seen. My thread on my brother I kept bumping to make sure everyone knew what a great brother I had. I just was wondering what catches the eye and then the imagination?

Hi sxychick, the thing is I didn't want to be the only one adding to it, that would've made the idea pointless. You and a few others liked it, and I noticed it was well read by the amount of people viewing it, but no one was contributing.

Which was a shame, because there's some good writers here, and others who have imagination. It was one of my better idea's, that just didn't spark the thought processes enough.

You're kinda new around here so this question really is acceptable. *wink* It's a good question to ponder about and it is posted in cycles.

I think title has a lot to do with it but also the poster's reputation. After browsing on a regular basis you get to know who posts deep thoughtful threads, who does the playful flirty threads, who does the bitchin everyone is going to hell threads, etc. So after a bit you read threads because of who posted it.

I dunno if you ever seen any of the handy work of "digger troll" but he/she used to breath life into old forgotten threads and pop them back up onto the first page from way down deep in the bottom of the stack.

Even "way back when" it was important to scan the 2nd and 3rd pages cause it was possible to miss a really good thread. Now days, with as many people posting on Lit, I'd say the best bet would be to scan as far back as the 4th and 5th pages .... maybe even further.

*cheezin cause it's u* :D

Yeah, perhaps your right, perhaps I put it in the wrong place. Oh well, doesn't matter, live and learn.

Thanks for the hug.
If you hadn't noticed I am very partial to them. My posting rep? Hmm, well, I guess I do alot depending on the situation. I flirt, tease, reassure, flake out, cry, rant, encourage, and everything else in my posts. I am definitely a little different.
Take Care and Thanks for the Tips,
