Maybe she meant "Where has my early summer crush, Never been?" As in, she's wondering where her early summer crush has never been.

If I were your early summer crush, I would say Asia, South America, and just about everywhere.

Where have you never been?

i agree, the other way is just to o confusing. putting it this way allows the reader to better identify who the subject is.
