Sorry your having computer issues. I spent some time over the weekend doing some of that. It seems ok now.

I will pass that on to Him. He doesn't usually look in and if He does all is ok. I can post anything to anyone on the threads.

He is a good master.

The laptop is my saving grace. The desktop is for the real work and its bogged down real bad

Yes He is. I am very lucky.

I only have a laptop. It does what it needs to without too much attention. Hope you can get your desktop sorted soon.

It is going through a final reboot to clear itself of the trash and then we will find out.

Hope that works. Computer programs especially operating systems have such poor, non existent garbage collection algorithems (sp) that so much memory is never freed up and returned. A complete shut down and reboot can correct many sins!

The issue here was that there were so many unused programs loading, that the ram was used up and it was operating on virtual memory which slowed it down terrible.
It is now back to normal slow.
I use the laptop 75% of the time, its only a couple weeks old and thus still fast.

I hear you sweetie, I've had to deal with that too. Glad to hear things are back to "normal."

depends on if the energy saver is on or not. average is 6-8 hours

Just dropping in to wish everyone a good morning. It's cold as hell here in south-western Wisconsin today...when i got up and took my son to school, it was reading -3 degrees F in the van.

Good weather for staying inside, snuggling under a blanket with someone, drinking hot chocolate and watching movies.

TGIF {{{{{Snuggles}}}}} I didn't make myself clear with the question. If you have your computer off and unplugged how fast does your computer battery discharge? I am just amazed at just how fast mine goes down if I am away and have unplugged it to avoid things like power surges... It isn't doing anything.

I know it is an odd question.
