Jerry Springer IS English--yep--born in London.

If I was English--which I'm not--I would consider it a compliment to be considered akin to the Monty Python lot. Oxbridge educated and all of them enormously successful in the years since.

My real concern is not whether or not the shows depict actually Yanks or Brits but what it says about the people who watch them. I'm afraid I'm one of those who watches most American shows for a few minutes and declares it rubbish. As for British TV I usually scream "What! I have to pay £10 a month for this shit." (for the unitiated we pay a monthly TV license)

I have, however, concluded that day time TV, no matter the country, is the best reason I can think of for having and holding a job.
