i saw 'good n' plenty' candy in a store yesterday. i haven't seen them since i was a child, so i bought a box. when i was little they cost five cents, today they cost a dollar. i just tried them.

first of all, they used to be white, pink and black. they dropped the black ones. they used to be hard, the coating crunched when you bit it. no more. and the coating is thicker and sweeter and grainy. the licorice inside isn't as strong as it used to be, the sugar coating drowns the flavor.

why can't people just leave things alone?

and whatever happened to choo-choo charlie?

This he says while conversing on the latest, greatest electronic communication device
which, btw, is no Dick Tracy watch.

I am continually amazed and amused about the great new things in life.

I'm not a backwards looker...

that's probably for the best when you're running from the law.

I'm enjoying every day of the continuing life I didn't expect to have...

I get you, Mars Bars don't melt when you dunk them in hot coffee any more either - it's just not right!

when i saw the gold leaf i thought of klimt but i've never seen that particular painting before. i love what i have seen, though, and now i'm going to google that one. Thanks!

When you get old life is full of disappointment. You live knowing each day is better than the next.

he got kicked over to the political board. he only knows how to troll politically, anything else requires thought.

I am so sorry you can't enjoy life now. I'm enjoying my elder years.

The feel of the wind in my face as I ride my bike reminds me I'm still alive and still able to do some of the things I love.

Every time I go to the river with my grandson, I enjoy the moment.

Every morning when I walk over to clean the barn and feed the horses, I know I'm lucky.

I've been in major motorcycle accidents and I'm still walking.

I've been exposed to stuff like Agent Orange, asbestos, carcinogens from industrial chemicals and poisons from herbicides that have killed many, and I'm still alive and relatively healthy.

Yeah, I'm really sorry you can't enjoy life. I enjoy every chore, every fabulous little moment, because I know there is an undetermined but finite amount of those remaining to be experienced.
