british royalty and the history of it is very cool ... its not a long line of just one family ... just about every european nation has had a king of england at one point ... some of the kings couldnt even speak english and never even visited england ... however there are some of the kings that were from "true" english familys from what i know imbreeding was more popular in european royal familys then the english ones ... i cant think of to many imbreeding that happened with the english kings

The reason for the royal blood nonsense is because "royal" blood means you can trace your ancestry to Charlemagne....that's why a princess from Japan couldn't marry into a European royal family
