Here in St. Louis they are wanting to build a new baseball stadium.
They don't really want public funds to build it, even though some of the public is making it out like it is. You see, the Cardinals are the highest taxed baseball team, if not sports team in the U.S. paying from ticket revenue alone, $8-$12,000,000 per year. The Cardinals don't want the money from the state, they want the money they are paying taxes with, to go towards funding the stadium.
It's not about millionaires getting by on public money, it's about being able to have a new updated ballpark. What's so wrong about that?
