When I get bored...

I create. I'm alone, so I live vicariously through my projects.

On the far right is my first flogger, made out of nylon rope with every strand separated. Next to it is my second rope flogger, this time with a nicer handle and the strands only partially separated.

In the middle is my rubber flogger. I bought the handle, but I the rubber stands are from an old golf ball. I unravelled it, cut the strands to length, and glued them in the handle.

The far left is my fourth flogger, made out of wood and leather. I turned the handle on a lathe out of an invasive shrub in my yard, and finely polished it. I then glued the leather strands in place.

The little piece in the middle is a keychain dildo I turned out of a piece of oak. Since it's going to be a keychain, I didn't make it too phallic. Those with a clean mind will only see a neat block of wood.

I have a fifth flogger much the same as the leather one, only with a dildo head. My friend is going to show it to a few local toy shop owners, and hopefully I'll start selling them.

Unfortunately, I have yet to try any of my creations. Floggers simply don't work when you're alone.

Nice work... you could slap your own thighs just to get a feel for the effect of them... that would at least tell you if you're on the right track with any of them.

Yes, I tried it on myself. They create various types of stinging and thudding sensations, which I assume is what they're supposed to do. But without romantic emotions, it's pointless pain to me.

Those are beautiful pieces. The floggers are gorgeous and look very usable. And I especially like the keychain piece. I love it when something "hides" in the open like that.

Thanks everyone. My friend says the people at the toy shop loved my design, but no word on selling them yet.

I also started building a riding crop out of a fibreglass rod. It's going to be a present for my sister's bachelorette party. I have no idea if she'll use it, but she'll at least think it's funny.

Ever think about opening up shop, and peddling your fine wares?

I know they could very well hold deep meaning, but maybe start a line of them... Maybe you could throw a "Fucker-Ware Party," at your place or somewhere. Invite some people who are interested in those types of things. Have wine, orderves, and then show your products, and have people place orders if they wish. Don't know how long they took you to make, but then make some new ones to order. Might be a good way to start up. Just a thought, and you by no means have to do it.

The party is a neat idea, but I have exactly three friends, none of whom have any money. I'll have to figure out how to ramp up production. I cut a bunch more of the shrubs down, and prepared the wood for drying, so I should be able to make a batch soon.

I like the idea of dying the rope. I'll have to look into it.
