Depressed a bit; I've been working on a story for almost 90 minutes, look up on this thread and nobody else on this page is apparently logged on. Beyond embarrassed.
We had a company wide teams meeting. Normally I always hide the chat of such meetings from my chats right after the meeting ends. And I did so this time as well. Except that instead of hiding it I accidentally pinned it.
And because I pinned it, the chat was now in the same spot where my work bestie’s chat normally is…
I clicked in the spot where I usually click when I open the chat to my friend and quickly pasted a link to a comic strip and added a little funny comment to it using a couple of inappropriate swear words too.
I didn’t notice I had posted it to the company wide chat until a few minutes later when I opened the correct friend chat and wondered why the link wasn’t there. I realized what I had done and deleted the post in the wrong chat, but who knows how many people had seen it.
I’m still trying to live down an embarrassing mistake I made in 2003 and this was way more embarrassing, so I suspect I’ll still dwell on this incident in 2050s. I’m not good at letting go of things like that…
