Your poll options are a little limiting, alcohol, poppers, ecstasy, speed, acid, ketamine, weed, mushrooms, coke no particular order. Seem to be the only more than 3 user on the poll lol.

All thoroughly researched before anything was originally done.

SlickTony - Ketamine should never be given as an anaesthetic to adults, its normally only used on animal and children as they seem unreceptive to the other undesirable effects associated with use. The dosage required for anaesthesis in adults is around 1mg/lb, with the K hole dosage being 0.75mg/lb taken IM (argh needles) meaning a misjudgement of the dosage could send the unwitting patient into a heavy hallucinogenic state. A K hole can be incredibly unnerving for those expecting it if not careful and in good mental health, let alone someone who isn't.

Quite why you were given it as an anaesthetic is beyond me, when much better alternatives are readily available. Ketamine taken in the state and environment you were in its hardly surprised that the experience was less than positive. As with any hallucinogen environment, mood and expectations are important, all of these were wrong in your example. Almost like being spiked with it id imagine

and a big to whoever it was that said there is heroin in some ecstasy pills. That is a complete and total mistruth, so called smacky pills in fact usually contain Ketamine or MDMA variants, MDA MDEA etc. Heroin itself is orally inactive so no effects would be felt, additionally heroin is many times more expensive than MDMA, so spiking with it even if it was orally active makes no sense from the dealers perspective either.

Probably because it was in 1977. Later on I'd mention having been given ketamine, and the reactions I'd get were like "Yikes, they bled you? They applied the cups? Barbaric!"

When I as creating it, I simply listed the first few that popped into my mind at the time and posted the poll. I tried to change the it subsequently, but for some reason, I don't have authority. Odd really considering I created it.

Still, I only really included the poll part because I could. I was more interested in stimulating a little discussion on the subject of drugs, which manages to stay unmentioned on Lit for the most part.

I don't want to start a discussion on the pros and cons of recreational drug use. I think most of the people here are aware of the dangers involved.

What I'm paricularly interested in is how many people actually use a drug as part of their sex play.

Of course, drugs can be legal (e.g. Alcohol, amyl-nitrate) or illegal (e.g. Ecstacy, Crystal Meth), and being partial to the occasional use of both sorts, I began wondering how many other singles/couples used drugs.

I like good old POT as it lightens the mood & if you get something wrong it's a giggle fest plus I suffer insomnia & it's way better getting a buzz on pot & some sleep than any of the script drugs for sleeping & leave you feeling crap all the next day & none of the natural/herbal things do shit.

In my younger days sex & tripping were fairly common practice but because of some health troubles I can't take any drugs I desperately don't need so drugs for pleasure other than pot are out for me.

well for those of us from the UK where they take drug taking safety for ppl seriously, there are stalls at raves that will test your pill.
Lo and behold......... Heroin traces found in a pill sold as mdma.

Im in the UK, id question why heroin was being tested for in a mdma testing kit anyway. The usual kits will uncover variants of the mdma strain or a simple yes/no to safety or other stuff. The large range of drugs workers and various people from sites such as pillreports.com that Ive spoken to on drugs boards have found heroin is never, albeit unbelievably rarely in pills. Try the urban75 drugs board and ask about heroin in pills, ull find the same answer on every other drugs board with any sense aswel.

And a drugs testing machine at a rave? Ive seen kits at them but never a machine..

There is no benefit to anyone whatsoever from putting heroin in a pill, not the dealer, not the client, no one. Its orally inactive.

Not questioning its possible, would question what the point would be.

With the whole lot of drugs around these days (chemical drugs) I'd be very reluctant to even try any of them as the not knowing of what is in them or what they have been cut with to increase the profit for some money man, I di say I did quite a bit of tripping in my younger days but the guy I was getting it from was a med student who used quality stuff for his trip & I never had trouble with any of his & when he quit making them I quit taking them.

Heroin is an opiate - many of which are orally active.

Perhaps the test came up positive for opiates, and the tester merely said "heroin"?

im sure that heroin can be ingested. Heroin and its substitutes is always dispensed in liquid oral form, drunk in front of the dispenser each day, so to say it would not work in pill form may perhaps be in error.
Herion in 1999 in Hampshire England, im not there anymore, was costing a tenner, which had gone down from 50 the previous year. It was suddenly unpopular, as extasy hit the scene, and party drugs for the masses flooded the market. Lots of children went missing into psychosis for months on end.

When you take drugs you take the risk that you dont know what, and at what strength, is the drug your taking. You pay your money and you take your choice.

Make it an informed one, by reading threads like this, that portray good and bad signs of the same coin.

The only drugs I have done so far are alcohol and weed. Weed on a limited basis. I get very horny (more than usual) with both. A matter of letting my inhabitions down I think.

I would like to try ectasy at least once and experience it while having sex.

I don't do drugs because I am having bad sex and need to enhance it, I use it as a variation as I do when I use cuffs or toys or different positions.

As for right or wrong legal or illegal..I do what I feel is right for me and no I personally don't hurt anyone when I do it....some of the things that most of us do in our bedrooms are just as illegal as drugs...sodomy (and in some states it only applies to homosexuals) and oral sex to name a few..in my state they hold up to a 20 year sentence..much longer than most drug laws and they have been trying to get this law off the book for a few years without any luck. RI is one of 21 states with these type of laws on their books. You may say Yeah but you would never get arrested for having oral sex, they just wouldn't do it..well I know a lot of cops that wouldn't arrest you for having some pot on you..both are illegal and if fair is fair you should be arrested for doing either. Most of us know they are ridiculous laws but there are people out there that would disagree with us.

For those who shout bloody murder that there are herion in pills then can you please show me some test results showing this. Rumour and heresay do not for a solid arguement in my book.

Oh and common doses for IVing are around the 5-10mg mark, versus the 50-70mg mark for oral dosing. This ,in my book, constitues it as being orally inactive.

the reason the oral dose of heroin is usually set at 50mg daily, is thus.
For oral administration of a drug, you need to take into account our good friends the liver and kidneys that will filter and process anything you ingest.
For Intramuscular injection, you should half the oral dose.
For Intravenous injection, you should half the intramuscular dose.

Ive been feeding heroin addicts on either maintenance or reduction drug regimes, oral heroin for 22 yrs, and it seems to work for them. If it didnt, they would of been very quick to either tell me they were going into drug withdrawal, or their bodies would of displayed syptoms of this.
So for me: Can heroin be taken orally? Of course it can and is!

Ps, the anal route is the preference over oral in France, and for those who'm are troubled with nausea, this can help as it bi passes the gut. But then you must administer the IM dose because the drug is stronger without the liver and kidney to assist in the breakdown of the poison your shelving.

And preferably, get someone else to administer, no thats just getting silly now isnt it

my choice?

I was sad to see that little mary jane was not listed. I enjoy it periodically throughout the year. On average I'd say about 1-2 a month....but have gone 3 months with out so it just comes and goes. I smoke just enough to relax and then I'm done. Usually for a few days or so when the feeling comes again. Other times it's every few hours....just depends on my schedule and how I feel. I'll enjoy a beer or two every now and again. Not much of a drinker. More socially than anything. Like at the beach or a BBQ.

I say everything in moderation.

I've tried mushrooms, and they were great. Would do it again if the offer came up.

Tried coke and crystal - fun but not worth the money.

Well, Diet Coke is not a choice, so I guess the answer for me is:

No drugs at all.

Although the percocets I occasionally get for back pain aren't half bad.

What can I say? Not many drugs mix well with testosterone.

I've tried a lot of different things listed here, and am not mentioning my favorite as it isn't something I'm particularly proud of. anyway, the differences I've noticed in sex when I'm high vs sober is the high sex lasts longer and foreplay, much longer... I've had some mind-numbing sex high, but my drug of choice makes me.. smaller. I'll stick with soberfucking for a while.

yea i used drugs to inhance my sexual experience. the trouble with using drugs for that or any other purpose is that should you decide to abstain, your sex life can suffer. that makes sex a triger for drug use. probably not a big deal if you are a normal person, but if you are an addict it spells big trouble. how do you find out if you are an addict? use drugs and if you can't quit when you want to then you are an addict. the down side of this is that once you find out it's too late. my advice is not to use them and you will not have to deal with that possible issue in your life. but i'm sure you will make your own decisions with out the aid of any advice. so good luck.
