Hey...Ive smoked pot before. That was enough for me to realize how awful drugs are. Sometimes, you dont need to do something to realize its bad. You dont need to light yourself on fire to know it hurts. When you see people close to you fall apart and abuse you because of their addiction to drugs, you dont need to take it to know it is no good.

Do what is fine for your life...take all the drugs you want!! Your wasting your life away though. I hope you get some help before you end up ruining someone elses life or getting in trouble with the law.

oh please, mother theresa! theres nothing wrong with using certain types of drugs to add something different to your sex life. what's wrong is those who know that they get abusive on drugs but still continuilly take them not caring who they harm in the process. where i'm from weed isn't illegal

Now I promised that I wouldn't wade back into this but I just had to let you know a few things about weed.

NEGATIVE

nausea, especially in combination with alcohol, some pharmaceuticals, or other psychoactives
coughing, asthma, upper respiratory problems
difficulty with short term memory during effects and during periods of frequent use
racing heart, agitation, feeling tense
mild to severe anxiety
panic attacks in sensitive users or with very high doses (oral use increases risk of getting too much)
headaches
dizziness, confusion
paranoid & anxious thoughts more frequent
possible psychological dependence on cannabis
clumsiness, loss of coordination at high doses
can precipitate or exacerbate latent or existing mental disorders

WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS

mild to moderate, non life-threatening withdrawal symptoms occur after daily use in some users. These may last for 1-6 weeks after cessation of use and can include anxiety, anhedonia (reduced experience of pleasure), headaches, general unease/discomfort, difficulty sleeping, and a desire to smoke pot. Severity of symptoms is related to frequency of use and individual sensitivity.
slight loss of appetite
finding non-stoned life a bit dull, increased boredom

So every drug has it's ups and downs, jsut because you only ever hear of one, doesn't mean the other side doesn't exist.
Afterall, if drugs weren't fun then I wouldn't take them!

funnny how you leave out these supposed facts differ from person to person. i haven't smoked weed in 3 week and have experianced none of the symptoms. infact i experience worser symptoms when i quite caffeine which is LEGAL .

I posted that in reference to someone who said that weed was harmless.

Afterall I'm on your side dude!

At the very begining of this thread, it was stated that a debate on the pro's or cons of drug taking was not invited. He simply wanted to know from people WHO ALLREADY TAKE drugs, which they prefer to have sex on.

Why are those of you who dont take drugs and are clearly anti putting your two pennorth in?

For those of you whove never indulged: you really have nothing to add do you. As a specific request was made not for a pro/con debate.

Im one of the fortunate people who clear up the fucked up drug casualties. And in 20yrs of doing this, the very very worse is alcohol. And yet somepeople on the thread sanctimonously state
'i dont do drugs, just the occasional drink for me'
Alcohol is a mind altering drug, dont be fooled. And try not to be hypocritical in future.

Oh alcohol isn't a drug, after all it's legal. And if it's legal then that must mean that there isn't a single thing wrong with it. I mean why would the government let us consume something which could cause us harm?

A nice glass of Merlot.......or a Godiva chocolate martini....
or a Cosmo.........or a peach frozen margarita! :nana:

Yes, alcohol is it.....only on a social basis for me.

On very special occasions (three times a year or so), I drink a glass of Chivas while smoking a nice cigar. Other than that, I don't take anything that was mentioned in the poll. (Or anything similar for that matter). Never felt the urge to try it in combination with sex either.

I don't want to start a discussion on the pros and cons of recreational drug use. I think most of the people here are aware of the dangers involved.

What I'm paricularly interested in is how many people actually use a drug as part of their sex play.

Of course, drugs can be legal (e.g. Alcohol, amyl-nitrate) or illegal (e.g. Ecstacy, Crystal Meth), and being partial to the occasional use of both sorts, I began wondering how many other singles/couples used drugs.

For me, it's prescription drugs...my own and used according to instructions. Lately, I've added a nightcap of Malibu Coconut Rum www.malibu.com , but only a shot or two of it.

Interesting Respones

Thank you to those who took the time to vote or leave comment.

Regardless of wether you are for or against the use of any drug, your input was very welcome. (the nay sayers gave me something to laugh about)

The use of a substance, be it legal or otherwise, is clearly something that any individual should do having researched the subject fully.

It is a subject that arouses many different passions in many different people. There are those who have seen the consequences of abuse, and will ever preach against anyone trying the even the smallest sample. Conversely, there are those who advocate freedom of choice and will argue that it is no more dangerous than driving a car recklessly.

I personally find it rather odd that there are people who will justify the use of alcohol because it's legal today ( for historical, political and economic reasons), and yet dismiss the use of some narcotics simply because they are illegal. I have seen the damage that alcohol abuse causes, and if it were not legal today, it would regarded in the same light as most other mind altering chemicals.

And for those who voted no drugs at all, I wonder...are you truly "drug" free?

And finally, to the individuals obviously couldn't read; who seem to think that life is black and white; that those who take drugs are mentally deficient in some way; that drug use is unnatural and just plain wrong....please take your opinions to a thread that cares.

(Thanks shelleb4 for the reminder along the way)

To quote Martin Luther King Jr., "Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity"

Whatever you do, make sure you're educated.

that drug use is unnatural and just plain wrong....

Drug use unnatural! Ha! Tell that to the cats rolling around in the catnip and the goats going after the coffeeberries and that other stimulant plant whose name I forget that people are always chewing on in Africa and the birds swooping drunkenly through your back yard from having eaten fermented fruit!

Drunk elephants kill six people

Assam is home to half of India's elephants

Drunken elephants have trampled at least six people to death in the northeast Indian state of Assam, local officials say.
The herd of wild elephants stumbled across the supplies of homemade rice beer after they destroyed granaries in search of food.

The incident happened near Tinsukia, 550 kilometres (344 miles) from the Assam capital, Guwahati.

"They smashed huts and plundered granaries and broke open casks to drink rice beer. The herd then went berserk killing six people," a forestry official told AFP news agency.

Police said four of those killed were children.

According to experts, elephants often emerge from Assam's forests in search of food.

But much to the annoyance of the local residents, they destroy rice fields and granaries.

Growing elephant numbers and the devastation of the animal's natural habitat are partly to blame for the problem.

Officials in Assam say at least 150 people have been killed by elephants in the last two years.

The deaths have led villagers to kill up to 200 elephants.

"It has been noticed that elephants have developed a taste for rice beer and local liquor and they always look for it when they invade villages," an elephant expert in Guwahati told Reuters news agency.

The region is home to more than half of India's elephant population, estimated at 10,000.

The Assam Government's protection of elephants over the last 20 years, including a ban on their hunting, has led numbers to increase to about 5,500.

I also saw this program on television about this tropical island where there is a bunch of vervet monkeys. They are half-wild, half-tame, and they come up and steal people's drinks when they aren't looking. A lot of them go after the cocktails but there are a few of them who naturally have no desire for alcohol and they steal the virgin drinks and the sodas etc.

I saw a similar piece here. it turns out that the percentage of non-drinkers, occasioanal drinkers and complete piss head monkeys closes matches that found in human populations.

i saw something very similar except birds would simply drop by restaurants and litearlly swoop down and grab peoples foods right out of there forks and plates.

At the house where I came up we had ligustrum and holly bushes, and they both gave berries that would sometimes ferment, and the birds would eat them and swoop drunkenly all over the yard, like I mentioned. It was funny.

dont do it

well a word to the wise "dont do it"
im sat here, recovering and i dont feel at all well.
I had the grand total of 6 night shifts, slept all day till 5, got up, had a schmokey joe, and a glass of white wine! Hard core i bet your thinking?
Trolleyed i was, puking my guts up, fell exhausted into bed, fit for sod all, woke up at 2am, me mate had gone home, had sex, slept 6-10 got up again and feel like crap.
Thats alcohol for ya, its poisonous, leave it alone, im warning you all, it will be the death of ya.
My only concern now is:
Will i be up and about by 9pm and fit enough to do it properly, in a ladylike fashion, and get a few disco biscuits inside me to dance the night away?

Course i will! I wont feel sick, ill have a bloody marvelous time!
And when i get home, well that will be the best bit of all;)

See alcohol, bad bad stuff! Dont do it, make it a class a drug, and get extasy of the B list so that ppl like me can not have to feel sick please.

I looked at that list again and was astounded to see ketamine on it. (but not cannibis). Why ketamine would be anybody's choice is a mystery to me. I was given it once in surgery, and it was such an unpleasant experience that when facing subsequent surgeries I questioned the anesthesiologists rigorously to make sure I didn't get it again.
