Holy Shizer. Almost half of those didn't die in the floods too...that's the sad part.

Unfortunately I think it will keep going up for a while. I imagine a lot of the deaths occurring right now are due to contaminated water. That's usually the thing that gets people when there's been flooding and there is little or no access to any safe things to eat or drink. People do what they have to do, and get very sick in the process. I'm really hoping that people can get clean drinking water and food to those who need it.
 
I think of this and the restoration needed to bring it back, and then I think of the money we are wasting in Iraq, fighting no one, and the devastation that has and is being caused.

One would think that natural disasters are enough for mankind to deal with, with out creating our own.
