..that you carry around with you? Ladies, I imagine you could have all kinds of things in your pocketbook. I don't carry a wallet, but guys, what do you have out of the ordinary? Also, why do you carry it?

I have a Lego piece in my jacket that's been there for quite some time. I'm not sure how it got there. I'm not superstitious, but I don't throw it away because for some reason, I think it would be unlucky to do so.

should be fun if you asked us what we carry in our purse.... for myself I put all kinds of differents things sometime strange too... oh and I do have a large purse...

I have one of those "Leatherman's tools" - think swiss army knife on steroids. It actually has come in handy many times.

Like when I wanted to drink and drive, I had the corkscrew.
:D

Years ago, I used to carry a .45 slug in my pocket that I dug out of a piece of furniture. My partner had an accidental discharge that almost kneecapped me. It was a reminder that "shit hapens"!

I'm not a man, but can I post here anyway?

This might be unusual...

I carry around a guitar pic and a bottleneck slide.

They both hold significance to me, but they would be good to have just in case I run into a man with a guitar. ;) I'm always thinking ahead...

I have one of those habitat for Humanity coins you get for donating in my wallet. I don't know why. Oh and one of those little dream dolls that you place under your pillow. My sister got that for me when she went to the museum I promised I'd always carry it with me so I do.

There are 2 things actually...

IBD's 10 secrets to success

and

and email from a Russian woman encouraging me to be the best that I can be.

I dont carry a purse so I am going to answer too. I have a worry rock that I carry most places withme and have for over a year now.

Hmmm, you aren't planning to pull a Loraina Bobit are you?

A locket of hair from my oldest son when he was born. It reminds me of just how damned close I came to having only that to remember him by...

baby hair elastics on the middle finger of my left hand, cause she always pulls them out and if I put her hair into piggytails when it was wet, the hair memory makes her hair look funny if we're going out.

I also carry my "In case of my death call the people that have stars next to their names in my little pink book" card. None of which are relatives.

A silver bullet.

No, really. I got it as a gag gift one Christmas and I hung on to it.

Of course, after rubbing it with my fingers, it's not really all that silver any more. :D

Fortune cookie fortunes. I keep the good ones and then never look at them again, but it would negate them if I tossed them into a wastebasket.

Because, you know...those things are for real.

Plane ticket stub , the very first time I flew out to see him. For some reason I kept it and I still carry it with me.

I don't often carry a purse, but I do have an old back pack that goes EVERYWHERE with me. It ususally stays in the jeep. And I don't consider this item "odd" in the least, and it looks like my girl Cleo has the same idea. I carry a little swiss army knife along with my first aid kit.

Probably what WOULD seem strange is the dog tags and a little braided bracelet that never leave my possession. The dog tags - from my faithful old friend who died 2 years ago. And the bracelet is actually something I made the day my dad died. At the time I made it I swore it would never come off - that wasn't likely to happen, but I've never been without it.

Rrose,

When you read your fortunes do you also add " in bed" at the end ?!

I know its silly but my friends and I always read out our fortunes and throw in the " in bed " at the very end , makes for some good laughs.:)

I carry foreign money...for no particular reason than I never took it out of my wallet when returning to the states. I've accidently even tried to pay with british coinage when being particularly absent-minded. I had a Deutsch mark that hung out in my wallet for 5 years.
