They both believe in the Christian doctrine and preform silmiar rites/rituals as far as I know.

Don't know too much about it either way I'm afraid.
People gave up asking me to attend church a while back.

nobodys asked me to go for awhile either the last time they did I told them I was a devil worshipper some people dont get the point when you say no thanks

Okay.. I will give this a shot... although it would be a better idea to talk with the parsonage at your church.. and the church your child will be attending to get a better idea. Even though most churches of a particular faith follow the same creed.. there are minor difference's from church to church.. even w/in the same denomination..

Baptist -
Founded by John Smyth in England in 1609 and Rogert Williams in Rhode Island in 1638.
Estimated total members - 31 million
Brief overview - No creed; authority stems from the Bible; most Baptists oppose the use of alcohol and tobacco; baptism is by total immersion. Baptist's generally tend to hold true that their church and belief system is very separate from other christian belief systems, and that theirs is the one true church. However, baptist's has come to the forefront of cooperation amongst all believers and people of goodwill.

Methodist -
Reverend John Wesley began evangelistic preaching within the Church of England in 1738; a separate Wesleyan Methodist Church was established in 1791; the Methodist Episcopal Church was founded in the United States in 1784
Estimated total members - 13.5 million
Brief overview - The name derives from the founders' desire to study religion "by rule and method" and follow the Bible interpreted by tradition and reason; worship varies by denomination within Methodism (the United Methodist Church is the largest congregation); the church is perfectionist in social dealings; communion and the baptism of infants and adults are practiced. Methodist acknowledge that there church is not "the one true church", nor are there any doctrines in the Methodist Church which are not found elsewhere. What Methodism offers is a distinctive blend of theological insights alongside a very practical approach to Christian living.

I don't practice either religion, I just find theology fascinating.
Hope that helps, if you have specific questions.. post them and I will try to answer them for you.

thanks you helped alot. I know more now compared to when I started this thread. I guess if they teach about god than it really wouldnt matter.

How old is your daughter? Is she at an age where she would be impressionable to peer pressure.. ie if most of her friends go to one church as opposed to yours? I think it is great to let young adults try different churches and experiences.. it lets them get a good idea of what they want to believe.. and where to place their faith. Everyone in my family has a different faith, it is really quite entertaining.. yet we can all respect and admire different religions and beliefs. Glad I could be of some help:D .
