Ha!! That is a good one.
If you ever see me on here chatting up all the girls, then you know I've died, and my fwb has my phone.

The rain has stopped and the goldfinches are singing in the cherry tree. A good thing.

Love it! So true! I think I'll print that out and put it on my desk. TY :rose:

(but if this was the 'spank the person above you' thread I'd have to spank you LS for making me feel guilty about dropping by Lit this morning ;)

Forgive me - and this isn't even a real criticism - but that quotation is SO American!

I'm with WC Fields: 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again. Then give up. No point being a damn fool about it.'

There's no point putting off 'til tomorrow what you could put off 'til next year.

On a similar feeble, Old European, decadent note - the brilliant Dylan Moran on potential.

"It's potential! Leave it - you'll mess it up! And anyway, potential is like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think."

Sweet thoughts of him...

His eyes, full of mystery---his lips, full of certainty.

(Breathless whispers) Oh baby, I need you too.

Agreed. There is a time for work and a time for rest and rejuvenation. I've seen far too many unhappy people either work themselves to death or into a miserable state of mind where they hold all the world around them in great disdain and resent anyone who can still wear a smile. (i.e., Sheldon Adelson, Rubert Murdoch and Dick Cheney to name a few)

However, when something needs to get done, throwing yourself into it with passion and vigor until it is completed brings its own unique rewards. As a fellow author, I look forward to the day I finish the sequel to a novel that was published last year. I responded to the work-don't-wait sentiment of LS's post because I know that day will never come if I just wait for it.

Love the WC Fields and Dylan Moran quotes. Are you familiar with Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000 hour rule?
