What's cookin', good lookin'? Part II

Thai red curry with rice noodles. Spicy and slurpy and delicious. :cathappy:

Sounds amazing!

I made butternut squash soup which turned out okay but not as tasty as usual. I was in a rush and didn't have time to let the squash roast enough, so the flavor was not as deep as it usually is. Because it wasn't as yum as I expected, I think instead of having it for lunch tomorrow like I had planned, I'm going to use the leftovers to make dinner rolls.

I'm going to make pizza today.

Strike that. I just remembered I have some chicken thighs I need to use up today. So disappointing chicken in yellow tomato sauce and zucchini it'll be.

Disappointing in the sense that it isn't pizza. I'm sure it'll taste fine. But it isn't pizza. :(

Make both?

Make both?

I'll make the pizza tomorrow and just try to get over my dinner disappointment now. It doesn't really make sense to make both when it's just two people eating anyway.

Dinner is almost ready and it smells pretty good, albeit not at all pizza-like, so I'm hopeful it won't suck too bad. :p

I pulled the best tasting spiral sliced ham out of my oven today glazed with my famous cranberry and brown sugar glaze. It was served with cooked yellow squash & onion and a baked sweet potato.

Oh so miserably and deliciously full!

Finally!
:cattail::heart:

Looks great.

It was a long time coming!

Happy Thanksgiving!

What's everybody making for the big day? Sticking with the traditional or do you make something different? What is traditional in your family anyways?

It's my secret dream to join somebody's Thanksgiving table one year. I've never even seen a turkey, dead or alive. That alone would be cool. Okay, I've seen turkey breasts but that's it. :)

Thankful I'm not cooking today!

My pecan pies were done last night and are beautiful. Today we roll out the mini cheeseball bites, scatter some grapes on the plate and we're done.

You would be welcome at our table any day! I would even break down and roast a turkey for you if you come early enough to shop and cook with me!
