How could I pass that up?

The Fuji Apple is my fav.
Haven't seen the Sweetie.
Pink Lady is very good, also.

Yes, the honey crisp is good.
There was an article in Smithsonian magazine a few years ago about a resurgence of old time apple varieties. It described the unique flavors of each.
I'll see if I can find it and post a link.
Here it is. http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/apples-of-your-eye-71328777/?no-ist=&page=1
I have no idea what it was, but certainly like nothing you can buy in the store now. Small, candy apple green going to blush where the sun hit it. Tart and firm, they were excellent for baking and for cider. I went back there recently, and its gone Apples are my desert island food. I love the immense variety in this fruit. I like modern Ines, and the old heritAge ones. It amazes me we lost our way with some tasteless ones for a few decades, but they were still beautiful! I do not love a floury applebut tart or deeet is fine, and the juiciness of a Fuji I agree with tallcajun, is a remarkable thing. I have read so much about honey crisp I really want to taste one!
and yes, very yellow.
