Whatever happened to virtue and morality?

A discussion of morals on a porn board, how novel.

Cuckolded_BlK_Male, why don't you lighten up, or I'll start talking NBA on your oppressed ass.

This is, of course, bullshit. Sally Hemmings was a biracial slave who was "gifted" to Jefferson's wife by her father. In all likelihood he was her father and Mrs. Jefferson's half-sister. Sally Hemming was a minor and a slave (meaning she didn't have the ability to refuse Jefferson) when Jefferson began his sexual abuse of her. That is rape, plain and simple. Moreover, it's child rape.
It would be if there was any proof that such an event occured. As such there is very little evidence and certainly no proof. I suggest you get your ducks in a row before you make allegations:

The only evidence is that decendants of Sally Hemmings share a genetic lineage with the male side of Thomas Jefferson's decendants. Which means that any of Thomas Jefferson's male blood relatives or Thomas Jefferson himself could have been the father of one of her sons (the youngest - Eston Hemmings). Sally Hemmings had a son before Eston (which was not fathered by any male Jefferson as the DNA does not match), and there were 25 men within 20 miles of Monticello who were all Jeffersons and could have been the father of Eston. And 23 of them were younger than Jefferson, who was 65 years old when Eston was conceived.

Still, Thomas Jefferson could have been the father - but we just don't know if he was or not. The DNA evidence indicates that he was not the father of Sally Hemming's first son Thomas Woodson, or that any of his male blood relatives living at the time were either.

All the rest of the "evidence" is mere allegations - neither Sally Hemmings nor Thomas Jefferson ever said anything on the topic that I know of.

I am not saying TJ wasn't the father - I can't say that - any more than you can say he was.

Majority America simply doesn't want to believe the truth about their despicable founding fathers.
And you want to believe nothing but the worst. What I want to believe is the truth, but we don't know the truth with regard to whether TJ was the father of Eston Hemmings or not. All we have is one data point and a whole lot of allegations. But I can see you are not a seeker of the truth - you would rather believe a version of history that supports your preconceptions.

Sally Hemmings' experience was in no way unique. Hers is just the only one that you people can't sweep under the rug and pretend it never happened. The only reason that America largely believes the truth of the rape of Sally Hemmings is because it was publicly known at the time both at home and abroad, and because it's be corroborated genetically since. And, still many Americans equivocate about and romanticize the obvious predatory nature of the relationship.
It was publicly alledged at the time - mostly by political enemies of TJ - and saying something over and over again doesn't make it true. The genetic evidence is inconclusive and allows for a number of Jeffersons to be the father of Eston Hemmings.

This country was formed out of genocide and slavery. For it's first 100 years this country was the moral equivalent of Nazi Germany. If that is what passes for morals with you. Then I reject your notions of morality utterly.
Oh please, you are getting just ridiculous now. If TJ had his way slavery would have been abolished right from the start. Unfortunately TJ did not take a stand on the issue, nor did a number of other Founding Fathers. At the time they may have been correct though; if they had the USA would not exist now, and who knows what would have happened then - we probably would have had slavery a lot longer than 100 years.

Finally, trotting out Nazi Germany for comparison is just a sign of a poor argument - the really poor debaters do this all the time - 'nuff said.
