I'll kick this off by

saying that I am headed up to Maine for Memorial Day
weekend! Can't wait as I have never vacationed up
there before..........plus I need to get outta CT for a little
while :)

i know i got some baseball games at wrigley field over that weekend. hopefully many victories. :)

When the hell is it anyway?

Long about the end of the month eh?

And since I asked the question... you 'bout know what my answer in the poll was!

edited since I read the dates..

Still NUTHIN!

Being the good college student that I am, staying home and studying for finals which will be the second week of June. Ain't college grand? lol

We do the parade, and the ceremony at the local cemetary. My great great grandfather served in the Civil War, he's buried here with his family. A few years ago I petitioned to have him recognized as a CW vet, and had to get his service files from the National Archives. It was well worth it. He's on the roster now, and will be remembered by the local Veteran's group always... :)

I get to be miserable. If I'm lucky and it's not raining I might get to go outside

I plan to BBQ if we get rid of these fricking thunderstorms that last all day. Wet charcoal is hard to grill with! :D

We in canada get our long weekend this weekend. Not planning much but yard work and getting ready for the end of the school year.

I put have no plans, but that is not correct! My cousin's daughter got married a few weeks ago and we are having a barbecue reception/shower for them. I am working all weekend and will be off on Memorial Day night, Daniel has school on Memorial Day to make up for snow day. Actually I will have a pretty full weekend.

i am

going to the indy 500 , its a tradition for me to make the race, taking the whole family this year!!!

Well, my good friend I am doing a BBQ on that Sunday the 25th... :D

A little suggestion about getting wet charcoaled started! Visit your local Army and Navy surplus store. I picked up this hand charcoal lighter the guy behind the counter called it a flame thrower.... I does a hell of a job getting the wettest charcoal going. Draw back is it is a bit of a job getting the rest of the yard extinguished...:D Where there is a will there is always away......;)

Have a great weekend my friend!

Thanks for the tip...will make sure my Border Collie isn't anywhere close to the Weber when I use the charcoal lighter! (Smoking dog fur would put a damper on the BBQ! LOL)

Oh, I don't know there, Always Awake, I mean what brings in the summer season better than the smell of burning hair? But then I must confess around my family it is usually someone and not the pets that end up on fire. lol. Or the smell of burning wigs.

Memorial Day weekend plans: riding my Harley with a bunch of fellow riders to Estes Park Colorado - leisurely 4 day 1,400 mile trip. It'll be a blast!

Somehow, I don't think the term 'hot dog' involves grilling the family pet! LOL :D

Memorial day

We are spending time at the local temple, then BBQ a turkey and Lamb. Spend time by the hottub and light off fireworks. It will be like a family reunion as their are a lot of church friends that are coming over too.

Hmmm...........

A little <bump> for TJ. Enjoy that darl'n.

What's that smell... Smells like board collie to me. Hey, AA ya gotta learn to control that thing better when ya take it out!

Oops......
