They may be that today, but back in the 1970's american cars that saw 100,000 miles were a rarity. Yet a 1976 Toyota Corolla easily did, unless it rusted out first....I think it was the poor choice to of the Big 3 to keep using the "designed to break engineering" mentality, that drove the rise of the Japanese auto industry in America.

If not for protection for the junk made in the USA, the big3 would already be dead.

They are not complete junk, but they aren't of consistent high quality.

You mention the Japanese and that's not a real equivalency. The Chinese do NOT have a W. Edwards Deming. The Japanese worship at the alter of quality control, not so with the Chinese. They follow the dictates of the CCP.

Isn't that stale news now? Regardless, it's a dynamic situation subject to all sorts of variables and Canada has a much better chance of resolving the situation than Mexico. I don't think it's any secret that Trumps opinion of Soy Boy is lower than whale shit so Soy Boy's exit from the political arena is going to go a long way towards patching things up.

Re. Buffet, he's got a vested interest in Trump not accomplishing certain goals. If that pipeline goes in his BNSF operations lose a shit ton of revenue.
