What were the good ol days?

sean is a wee, angry delivery truck driver in ireland.

The rest writes itself!
:nana:
I'm dealing with some other angry overly sensative people right now in another room. People not reading what was actually written and taking offense as if it was about them and like 3 other people jumped in trying to shame me when they obviously didn't read the posts. If people can't control their feelings they shouldn't be on this site or any other.

I come here to laugh at them.

They’re far too stupid to ever listen, comprehend or engage in conversation.

It’s like going to the Retard Zoo without getting any dust on the 911.
That's basically why I'm here also. To tell these people the truth and watch their heads explode. Hahahaha
You should check out the thread, I don't even remember what it is. Something about would you do the member above you. These people are insane.

In the good ol' days politics did not play a role here.
Like this guy portraying himself as innocent and friendly has "Stop fucking Republicans." in his signature line. Boring.
I've been posting here seventeen years and politics has always been part of this place.

There you go again, personal jabs instead of an actual factual conversation about how you think I'm wrong or whatever your lame objection is based on.
If I was a fool, it would be so easy to get personal about you, calling you names, comparing you to whatever, attacking your looks, etc... but as my name states, I'm not a fool. Any 3rd grader can say what you have been saying and that is not giving the 3rd grader very much credit.
LMAO. Okey dokey, cupcake.

From what they say, you were born to suck.

And from what I’ve read, it wasn’t long after you and Butters arrived that you and she drove the place into the ground and site owner Laurel signed off.

Happy?
This is your most incel-ish pist evah! Three strong wimmin absolutely ruining your Lit experience.

Well done, ladies. 🎊 :rose:

If you speak for the first two, which you appear to be suggesting, though I doubt it’s true, I’m voluntarily celibate with respect to same, as I’m not a pig-fucker.
They're strong women, no one needs to speak for them, loser.

And that's only because pigs have standards.

Good ok days… Before cell phones. Before we were all tracked, videotaped, monitored etc
When you could go out the door and no one knew where you were Think that was called freedom

Girl. The good days of LIT. Which wouldn't be possible without those things lol.

No one has ever cared about me enough to track me. I'm not bitter! You're bitter! You're all bitter! 😩

"Why, back in my day, the board was busier, we had better discussions, better trolls, better drama, and more homemade cookies...."

Why is it, every time we come back after an extended break, this place seems to have gone downhill? Has it? Or has it always been a shit show?

To the people who refuse to give up on this place, especially the ones on their 5,397th alt: is this place the same as it's always been? Will 2069's "hay day" be 2045's GB? Is this the fucking circle of life?

I'm reading this thread thinking most of it is an inside joke that I'm not privy to. If so, hey sorry for jumping in. I have used 3 names over the years, but only because I took lengthy breaks and forgot my log in info. I don't know that Lit has changed much in the 15 or so years I've been visiting, but I guess I have. I used to click on every thread and felt the need to reply, or let folks know if I wanted to fuck the previous poster.
These days I read fewer threads, move on more quickly, and I realize that saying "I'm not like the other guys" makes me exactly like the other guys. Also, I thought there was some humor in Garnate's posts so I kept reading - thanks for capturing my interest for a bit.
Y'all have a good day.

I think this is just a passage of time with anything from music to movies to online forums. Things change over time and I believe people naturally have some level of dislike for change when they enjoy something and put that together with missing the things we did like that have now gone and we all at some are sitting there say "back in my day..."

I would say between 2004-2010. Threads and posts moved quickly. It’s was always busy.
There was fun. There was drama which was always an interesting read. Lots of interaction with a lot of different people...<snip>
I think this is probably pretty on point... even though I exited around 2005 for awhile to spend some time dating girls. It wasn't very rewarding, that. I came back to a bit different place. Still special though, and unlike any other place I've ever seen. It may be the forum at the end of the universe. I'm keen to party naked the day the lights go out for good.

naked party in the river. watch out for the leaches in the reeds.

YES. You ever do that trick where you take a life vest and put your legs through the arm holes so it becomes like a floating diaper party chair? Or are you more of a noodle gal...?

I was at a camping festival back over Memorial Day looking very much towards swimming in the river, and we got there to be told that farming runoff made the river gross. They didn't say don't swim in it... but they didn't say do, either. We were bummed. But more so, a politely buzzed nightswim with your kit off is an important landmark for these young people.
