What time are you going to pick?

I was wondering, if you could pick any time and go there what would you pick? Would you go to the near past...the 1920's or 30's or would you go to the distant past 1400's or 1500's perhaps.
Why would you pick a specific time to go to....or would you go to the future not knowing what might be there for you? Would you use the knowledge that you have from today to change things in the past, or to perhaps take advantage of the people of the past? Would you go to the future and bring back a treasure from the future to share with the people of today.
Iwas just thinking about this and was wondering what people would do.....also would the women answer or go to different places and times than the men? I would love to know what you think about this

150 years ago when my Grandmother arrived here in New Zealand. There was only bush then... everything had to be made and done by hand....

To the days of Camelot. I'm fascinated with that time period and all the legends surrounding it.

I can't decide between the Middle Ages in Europe or the Civil War Era in the US. It's a toss up....either one would be facinating! Oh, but I would have to be rich wherever I went! It would suck to be poor in those time periods!

Either the roaring 20's, or waaaaaaaaaay the hell back to the time when the Celts ruled most of Europe (I'm of Celtic descent mostly).

I'd stay right in the present. Health care has never been so good. Think of the plague and the lack of antibiotics....we'd all be dead in a matter of months.

I like the here and now quite fine.. but I'm thinking the 1960's wouldn't be so bad..

I'd love to go back just a few years... staying within recent history. Just far enough back to meet and marry a young struggling Bill Gates.

Western Europe, around 50,000 B.C. The last days of the Neandertals and the cultural explosion (invention of art, jewelry, ritual) of the Homo sapiens sapiens. :)

LOL... Do you really think Bill Gates would've done what he did with Microsoft if he'd gotten laid before he made his first billion dollars??

Late 12th, early 13th century Britain.... The romance and the magick that was Sherwood Forest.
But Arthur's song plays deep within me, so it is a toss-up....

Some time in the not very distant past (I've grown fond of electricity & indoor plumbing)

Id go back to my the first time i kissed a girl, when everything in life was so innocent and the "big bad world" we live in now didnt exist.........

Keep it coming

Wow ...this is great I love all the replies I'm gettin! I do not think any one has said they would go into the future. I wonder if that is because we only want to go back to that which we already know....maybe the future is just to big of a mystery and we only want to go back to the sure thing. Well thanks for your intrest and this will push it back to the top of the pile so I cam see what it does over nite tonite. Its 11 P.M. here in Indiana. Be back about 5:30 or 6 tomorow A.M. :nana:

Steven Wright: I went into a coffee shop; the sign said "Breakfast Any Time."

I always thought it would be fantastic to be with Henry Hudson the first time he sailed into New York Bay. What it must have look like then, and to be able to compare it to the view from the Staten Island Ferry.

Damnit! I knew there was a glitch in this little plan of mine.

hmm... in that case, I'd love to go back to the day that Microsoft, or Yahoo, or hmm Pepsi went public. Buy, buy, and buy. Then moving slowly forward sell sell sell. The ultimate insider trading.

I have this..."thing" for cowboys...hehe. I would definitely go back into the "wild West" era. I know women for the most part were considered second rate citizens, but damned if I can get the image of smooth, smokey, southern drawl with an ass you could bounce a dart off of encased in wranglers, smelling of healthy male, soap, sunshine and horse sweat, with a days stubble on his chin, two colt 45's on his lean hips and the sun at his back, outta my dreams!

All my moral convictions and virtue would be dropped on the spot, the moment he leaned in real close to my ear, close enough for his breath to tickle and moisten the soft curls at the nape of my neck and whispered, "Darlin".

<heart palpitations>

Shameless

I just wanted to bump this to the top to see if there were any folks out there who have today off work that would not have seen this one before Thanks for the replies

~OR~

England during the Regency period or there abouts in the 1800's. I can never get enough of this period in time. I read too many romance novels based in that time period.
