I doubt there's any grey area. If she calls to complain, what she hopes to accomplish likely would be entirely different from what actually happens.

In order to satisfy the "customer", they would let the guy go, not dicipline him. Too much trouble.

I only mentioned getting something off my cable bill in jest. I have no intention of getting anyone fired, especially over something like this, I was angry at first because that bastard stunk my place up and left a present behind, however, if his supervisor knew, the gentleman will at least be careful the next time he goes into someone's home. There are boundaries that should not be crossed, especially when you are in someone elses home. I had no problem with him using my bathroom, and I could have even gotten past the odor, but it was the not flushing that really bothered me.

You said "a floater" If there was one, don't you think he flushed? That there was an abundance that caused the stench and only one lingered??

I'm sorry dear, if I'm not up with the lastest shit terminology. Whatever he left, it didn't go down, and when you do #2 in someone else's home, you need to check to make sure it all went down, so whether he attempted to flush doesn't matter if it was still there.

He's a representitive of the cable company. If this is how he behaves, they can dismiss him saying he's not the type of person they want associated with them.

NY is an "At will" state when it comes to employment. You can be fired for no reason.

The cable company can easily distance themselves from him, it's individual behavior. Which they are responsible for. Why take the chance he'll do it again. They wouldn't see it as a reflection on themselves.

I vote for this thread as the funniest on Lit!

It made my eyes water. Or could that have been the stench? I let workmen use my bathroom, but it is rare when they ask. And, if they are outside, I have seen them use the bushes as natural "camouflage".

This reminds me of that commercial for Immodium. Woman is at a spa, hair in a turban, some green glop is being applied to her face and body. Next, she is wrapped in plastic and warm towels so that she is immobilized like a modern day mummy.

Suddenly her eyes (covered in cucumber slices) pop wide open and she has a look of abject terror on her face and you hear the voiceover announcer saying "Where will you be when your diarrhea medicine stops working?"

Makes me giggle, despite the crude factor.

So, even if you're a cable guy, when you gotta go... you gotta go!
