What should she/he smell like to attract you?

I just posted a quote from a book I'm reading in the Blurt thread, and it got me to thinking: What would you prefer someone to smell like to get your attention or attract you or make you wonder what they'd be like in bed (on a cross, across your knees, whatever ;) )? What scents immediately get your attention, for either good or ill?

How about some input from all sides of the aisle - male-female, PYL-pyl, etc.-etc.?

It really depends on the person and it's very subjective. T has the him-smell-plus-soap-or-detergent-on-clothes naturalism that I find yucko on other people.

M uses Clinique Happy for men or Zegna and I love an appropriately chosen commercial scent myself. If he starts to "stink" (his phrase) his sweat inherently smells like girl sweat. Like unwashed girl, not dude. Which is incredibly sexy because it matches the overall package perfectly.

I like non-floral perfumes on girls. Jasmine and Gardenia and you lose me, unless there's something really right about that at the moment. You've got to be wearing a faux flower in your hair or something. I choose kind of powdery and patrician or spicy and silly scents for myself, and I don't bathe in them but I don't freak out about the amount either.

That summer that everyone was gobbling up Marc Jacobs was like torture to my nose. A very unsexy summer.

He should smell clean, with no cologne if he can manage that or a very lightly scented one if not. Since I'm not familiar with men's cologne, I don't really know which ones I like. I do know which ones I dislike, Old Spice and anything from Tag or Axe at the top of that list. If they could create something that smells like new books or freshly mown grass, I'd be all for it.

Although I have to say, the scent of mint or chocolate is always a plus.

Demeter is a small company that makes unisex fragrances that smell identical to things like cut grass, tomato plants, tobacco - they have a delightful one called "dirt" that my hippie ex was converted into liking. The grass one is pretty much bottle it and sell it cut grass.

Lately they've been doing a lot of baked goods (barf) but I think they still have those, too.

I want my woman to smell like a Budweiser and pickled egg fart.

Hmmm, I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

I like when men smells manly. Hate strong perfumes, but like when my men smell nicely yes. For men I like Gillette Artic Ice the best me thinks.

But honest, when it comes to scent theres nuthing better than smell of two naked sweating bodies!! :D

Like themselves! I hate perfme and cologne.

I used to love nothing more than how my ex smelled when he was all sweaty.

Something nicely edible, the scent of vanilla and spice get me going....

I like men who smell like themselves....clean, light cologne maybe. But each body chemistry reacts to colognes differently, so my internal sense of smell will tell me what I like and what I don't.

Dated a guy in high school that bathed in colgone...it was horrible.

If I even use the stuff I just do a very light spray on top of my shirt since having it on my skin makes it feel funny. Like I'm sensitive to some chemical component of perfumes/colognes.

A delicate smell, something you only notice when you're really close. Something that turns me on.

sweat.
I love the smell of sweat on a guy
like after a bike ride or heavy exercising
or just waking up.

Not a big fan of cologne's personally. I prefer a guy to either smell really masculine (like all sweaty just after working out) or to have their own natural scent mixed with a clean smelling soap. Guys always smell best to me either right out of the gym or right out of the shower lol.
