What does it take to set you off? Like I mean go up to someone and do things to them that would put you in jail for awhile.

**My peeve is standing at a counter in a store, waiting for help, and seeing the clerk b.s.ing with a co-worker. The topper is when the clerk looks at you, and then goes back to talking with the other clerk. I usually put down my purchase, and leave with a few colorful words!**

What's yours? :D

KiwiWolf!

How could I forget you in my cozy good morning greetings?

So sorry!

Good morning hugs.

People wasting my time, limiting my freedom and/or lacking self-control.

Like I mean go up to someone and do things to them that would put you in jail for awhile.

Nothing. Like I said in a previous signature, "Fearlessness is knowing my lawyers are better than your lawyers."

I'm working on a book about the criminal justice system. I don't fear the system because I understand it. I fear too many guilty people are getting off and I fear too many innocent people are in jail or dead now. I greatly fear police officers.

Ooops I hit the wrong thread way back there!

Sorry.... *blushes and quietly leaves*

Something Similar

..to Lost Cause.
I've always been one to encourage independence in my children who are now 5 & 6. Recently we were at McDonalds during a quiet period so I sent my 6 y.o daughter up to get us all an ice cream. I did stand back & watch. I watched my clock for 5 min while the 'workers' did their work & not serve the customer! She is over the counter height, I saw 2 of them notice her but carry on with their flirting & weekend plans with one of the male co workers. With a huff I went & stood beside her & almost instantly one of the girls came up with a smile/greeting on her face.. I told her to shove our order where the sun doesnt shine & asked to speak to the Manager. When he decided to respond to my request he apologised & offered 'freebies'. I told him, I want you to chastise those workers in front of me (& by now there were several other customers in line) now & to also shove his freebies.
It was hard to explain to my kids why they werent getting their ice cream afterall, but we went to a local Ice Cream Parlour .. which is better in the end I guess, as the money is staying in the local community! :D

Rude People.

A generalization that encompasses a lot of things, Including the ones posted above which I agree with. Also, people who are mean, snobby, or arrogant to other people for no reason.

Bad Table manners

I just get so disgusted when someone is sitting at the table, chewing with their mouth open, making all sorts of disgusting noises, or worse yet, talking through the wad of half chewed food. It is a pet peeve that has always steamed my vegtables.

(I do also hate rude waiters/counterservice/clerks and I Really have a beef with Cops who do profiles in small towns. Rant on the police would be in Lavender's thread about puny speeding tickets on holidays)

I am pretty easy...

to get along with. I do get pissed at the computer when it freezes or disconnects right in the middle of something I am trying to do.

I have had the same experience at McDonalds as Spanktress and produced similiar results as I walked out also:D

JUICYLIPS

she gets me off, and I wouldn't mind going back to jail for a little time with. . .
oh wait--you said "sets" me off.
Sorry girls

Anybody with the "I'm better than you" attitude.

Cant stand it and will speak up. I have gotten loud about it,and have embarrassed alot of people that way.

Okay I am a housewife,I do not dress up during the day. A t-shirt and shorts are my wardrobe. That doesnt mean that if I walk into a store I dont expect to get the treatment I deserve. Treat me any other way and you will hear about it.

Anyone that messes with my kids.

I have and always will defend them till I die. Be mean or heaven forbid do something wrong toward them and you will know about it. Just ask my in-laws. ;)

Rude People indeed!

Including those who pull up a chair and interrupt a discussion by "joining in" without (a) being invited; or (b) without waiting for the person talking to finish the thought.

... three little letters: S-U-V

If by 'setting me off' you mean wishing I owned a bazooka or a crate of stinger missiles, warm fuzzy fellow-feelings with the Unabomber, and that special excitement I get occasionally from wishing I could see shit being blown up--then yes SUVs have such an effect on me....

Walking into my local electrical store and seeing 5 or 6 staff
standing talking.

Then wanting advice, not being able to see one.

Ummm - I'm glad I don't live near you if the vehicle a person drives sets you off. What would you do to someone driving an RV? ;)

What sets me off? People questioning my integrity.

I can take rude people, ignorant people, bigots, whatever, I can even stand my ex-wife for short periods of time, and hold them in quiet disdain and anger. But someone questioning my integrity really pushes my buttons. I have learned to control the anger and respond just the same as with any other insult (well, most of the time). But it still pisses me off because I take such pains to try to be honest and forthcoming.

Only one thing:

Unneccesary unkindness in a world that is already hard enough.

Do somehting for a child.

I don't care who they are or who you are. you do something to hurt a child i'll kick your fucking ass. who cares if i end up in jail.

Idiots and Jerks

No, not y'all--

But idiots and jerks, folks that refuse to listen to reason--"my way or the highway" types

I was once told I was prejudiced by a jerk with brown skin. I told him that I certainly was prejudiced--against jerks and idiots, whether their skin is beige, brown, or purple with pink polka-dots.

They aren't allowed to publicly chastise their employees. They are supposed to be taken aside seperately and talked to.

What sets me off?

My boss.
Crazy assed drivers on the highway.
Rude people.
Bill collectors.
Fastfood idiots behind the register.
People who wear that hair style... what the hell is it, short in the front, long in the back...
Guys who make a run to the store wearing baggy sweatpants and no underwear.
Rap.
Racist.
People of 'color' with a chip on their shoulder.
Small dogs.

and

Physical Therapists!

when i'm forgotten by someone.. it really upsets me and makes me mad.. especially when you think they'll remember that they made plans with you for the evening or whatever time of day and then they go and do something else and you dont hear from them till after its too late to do whatever you were goign to do

I agree. I hate being smothered by attention. It pisses me off. I need my own life seperate from a guy, but I still like to know I exsist to someone who supposedly loves me.

What sets me off?

-People who are constantly negative....can never see the bright side to anything!

-Dishonest people
-Rude people
-Slow drivers

-Christmas shopping in crowded Department stores. I start out all excited to go shopping for everyones gifts. By the time I am done and ready to leave, I can't help but feel tense and a little irritated.
(guess I am weird like that:rolleyes: )

Can't say anything sets me off that would warrant me going to jail!
