I’ve known that this was one of the most famous posters, but I had no idea it was/is the top selling poster of all time.
I looked it up HERE and it’s a pretty interesting story. The thing is in the Smithsonian!

I don't remember having a lot of posters. I used to take the maps that came in National Geographic magazines and put those on my wall.

I was at the mercy of whatever the publishers happened to include. I know I had a world map, the UK & Ireland, Canada, southeast Asia, a historical map of the US Civil War, and one of Caribbean shipwrecks. There were others, but those are the only ones I can remember offhand.

I had a huge one of Judd Nelson in The Breakfast club, he was reclining a little, smirking, with a lit cigarette in his hand. I thought he was the sexiest thing I’d ever lay eyes on in my lifetime. I’m not sure I was right but it’s probably where the attraction to trouble began.

I also had Springsteen, George Michael, REM, INXS and of course, Crowded House.

I bet you gave that poster plenty of reasons to smirk.

The only poster I can remember having when growing up was a black light poster. When I got my first apartment, I had a couple of cat posters. They didn't last long.

I came home from work one day to find rusty water leaking into my entry light, just inside the door. Called the landlord. He was a bit baffled, then noticed that the wall outside my half bath was wet. The posters literally fell apart when he touched them. There were two moldy rectangles behind them.

Long story short, the guys next door had been out of town for some time and their toilet had overflowed. Because nobody noticed, it kept on doing it until the wall and ceiling in my place was damaged.
